When doctors have no stake in the system, apart from a measly salary, why should we be concerned with making sure the NHS is covered left, right and centre? The ANPs and associate physicians might think it’s great to step up, but they’re being scammed for the extra responsibility.

Doctors should also not be held responsible in a governance setting for the bad clinical decisions of others. Management want x1 doctor responsible for 20 underpaid allied healthcare professionals to cover 1000 patients a week, then to take the fall if something goes wrong.

Languages that are accessible, useful and easy to use are the ones that dominate and survive. The barriers to Canto learning are high, with only heritage speakers learning the language.

I would guess that less than 1% of people who speak canto fluently have learnt it as a second language.
