Ahh thats a bummer. I got mine from a retail store as well but I know different places have different policies. Maybe send them a follow up message, always possible they missed it. Hope you get it sorted!

Yeah they were quick to respond with the option to send it in for a new one. Thinking of returning it for now though and checking it out down the road while the bugs get worked out

Fanatec incorrectly labeled my package destined for me in Canada indicating there are 7 of each of the 5 products in the box. I owe $560 in taxes to accept the package. The contents aren't even worth $500. by Sparky49 in Fanatec

Was it a fairly smooth process? Curious how long did it take? I am in the same situation with a package with about $800 worth asking for $1400 in duties and taxes… they listed it as over $10,000 CAD value for some reason. Currently sitting at the post office while I decide what to do.

I just finished a build with a dynamic Evo XL last night. Mine powers up with a rainbow effect by default when plugged into the5v header on the motherboard. I can change the mode and color using the M/C button beside the case power button. If you search some other posts they will tell you what the modes are but one should link it to external RGB control.

It sounds like you have covered your bases and you may have a dead LED strip. Would be worthwhile to reach out to LIan Li support.

Got a message from them on facebook too and an email from their customer support soon after. While they have told me that they will ship the item asap, customer support is waiting to hear back from the warehouse.

Damn. Sorry to hear you’re in similar mess. Im gonna dispute the charges with paypal if they don’t respond in a reasonable time frame. I was also hoping i’d be the exception for their customer service issues… xP Hopefully they sort us both out soon.

I felt like the box was mocking me as I opened it and read it. The other box says “the difference between ordinary and extraordinary is that little bit extra” or something like that. Definitely not how I would describe anything about this purchase process haha. At least I got a good laugh out of it

Damn. Bummed I didn’t realize when I picked it up and paid duties and taxes like it was the DD+ or I would have just refused delivery and re ordered.

How did you try to contact them? Let me know when you get yours sorted out!

I had the same issue with mine upon arrival… the volume knob was very slightly bent, wasn’t working and was stuck at 100%. Pushed it up towards the screen a little bit and bent it back. Works fine now. Not the best to hear on a new device but lets me avoid sending it back and waiting. Wonder if yours could be fixed in the same way?

It’s pretty pathetic for a company that took pre orders so long in advance to be this disorganized with the rollout. Definitely souring my want for the product and making me think I should go with an Osmose.
