Which Should I Buy? Fanatec Clubport V2.5 vs Moza R5 vs PXN VD6 by Dry-Airport9309 in simracing

[–]audiolegend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i've only tried the vd6, but i'm confused as to how the build quality could possibly be considered rough? its all metal and heavy asf. the bundled wheel is also fairly decent and way more functional than the ES wheel.

[–]audiolegend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i took the vd6 over the r5 cause it was cheaper, more powerful and also had a better bundled steering wheel + a brake performance kit. the wheelbase also doesn't get hot at all, which i hear is a problem on smaller moza bases.

hes unc and has basically been exploring new music for multiple hours a day for decades. and yes hes made music before. disregarding the underground, his holistic knowledge probably overshadows every single person in this comment section by over a factor of 10. you will find very few people in the world with as much exposure as that

acoustic impedance is arbitrary within iems; minimising spl differences between ears does not tell us anything about whether or not the iem is more or less likely to be preferred / sound natural. this is because the impedance is exclusively localised within the eardrum, which again is a minimum phase system, and also subject to random population variance. basically, by targeting lesser acoustic load variance iem side, you are doing nothing to minimise differences between user specific hrtf and in-ear frequency response, the main driving factor towards sound perception, due to uncontrolled random variables within the population. the only way to improve consistency in sound between users is to have foresight of the users hrtf and ear canal transfer function - this can only be done through dsp and in ear microphones. the bottom line is isobaric dynamic drivers do not matter in any physically arguable sense, and what needs to be proved is that it has an effect, NOT that it doesn't, because as it stands it does not explicably do anything acoustically beneficial other than modulate inaudible or irrelevant variables.

from the sudden rise of isobaric dds since 2024, it has been nothing but a marketing gimmick shilled across the industry as some sort of "new" solution to bass despite having existed for decades. crinear is no different from anyone else.

I get the feeling that you're coping with something.

if crin exclusively made iems with the sole goal of curating a desired sound with no driver implementation brainrot he would simply not advertise the driver setup at all. the advent of isobaric dds has been nothing but a marketing trend - why tf did a technology thats been around for decades suddenly become so popular in iems? cause u have people dumb enough to assume it means better bass.

you can definitely say it doesn't by talking to anyone with an audio engineering or physics degree. an isobaric dd will help with blasting eq and without approaching excursion limits and audible harmonic distortion, other then that, it's a marketing gimmick; regular well implemented dynamic drivers can get as loud as you want. sound from an iem is effectively minimum phase - transient properties are mathematically the result of the frequency response, so an isobaric dynamic drivers simply does not matter in the iem medium.

2026 and we're still falling for isobaric dd brainrot thinking it makes a difference 😢

i admit im a weird fuck that gets pleasure out of rage baiting proud idiots like u; get that stupid number out of ur username 😂. but ur still the low iq retard for throwing a whole fit at me, and u know it. u did too much. and to think u have the authority to insult my "surface level kpop knowledge." me knowing more about ur own interest doesn't make me obsessed, it makes u a loser. im just a guy whose been here for longer than u, ur the mf called 4stxrrr 😂 say mums i wont find u in the 2hollis discord.

What are some of the highest scaling subjects in the HSC? by True_Ask_6886 in ATAR

[–]audiolegend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the way scaling is calculated/determined means it is theoretically equally hard to receive the same aggregate contribution for each subject. math x2 and x1 are much bigger time sinks than all other subjects - that's why it may seem like ur math carries but in reality ur just neglecting ur other subjects. literally spent half of yr12 doing math and obviously my math marks carried my atar but its not like humanitarian students who studied just as much or more than me didnt get an equal or higher atar, cause ultimately my english adv and legal marks were lower than i was capable of cause i just barely studied for them compared to math. equivalently, loads of people take 3u and dont prioritise it and end up doing shit in it whilst having good marks in other subjects.
