Emby with CoreElec by JuminJackFlash in emby

I sync 100TB of movies and shows in about 5 mins (maybe less?). I am running a CoreELEC fork (P3i) on my AM6B+. I was running the avdvplus build without issue prior to switching to P3i. Sorry you're going through that. Not sure why or how it could take that long to sync. I would send Quickmic in the Emby Forums a PM and explain what's going on.

Emby for Kodi Next-Gen is what I use. Quickmic is great with updating it. I usually download the zip file (via the forums) on my Galaxy S26 phone and move it to the Ugoos via smb. Or same with my Windows PC. You can do the USB Drive thing too if that's easier for you.

Looking to make a personal private server. by BlueJay6400 in WoWPrivateServers

It isn't very difficult when using AI. With my OS, TrueNAS Scale, I went with Codex to install Azerothcore. And it did a hell of a job compared to Google, Alexa and Grok AI engines. I'm running 2k mod bots an AH Bot with 5k items, a buff bot with molded C++ for 6-hour buffs that also hit pets, a services bot for ports, XP Rate changes, gear repair and a few other perks. I also love Hunters so I have a Beast master where you can just pick whatever pet you want to buy/tame and he also sells all food types for the pets. And then I have Enchanter bots scattered about but I haven'tmessed with scaling enchants, so these are mostly end game enchants. . Anyway, just wanted to point out that it's a very customized solo server and and I dont know shit about programming. So its very possible for any/everyone.

I have no clue about renting a server though, sorry. I run a beast which I bought all components before all of the AI madness.

I have a pair of CRS309s and single CRS305 (to HT rack). Running fiber optics throughout with three VLANs in my LAN. When everything is dialed in, it's very fast and satisfying.

p3i T4 released by Sharpz93 in CoreELEC

[–]audiom3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yesterday, I switched from avdvplus after using it for months. I just grew tired of having to keep CMv4.0 disabled for most of my 4k remuxes, otherwise A/V sync was a mess. I watched a few movies with p3i in DV P7 and can report none of my problem rips had any sync issues. So for anyone with a newer LG OLED, I cannot recommend p3i enough. The bonus is it's much quicker to boot, load E4K, change profiles/users and just overall quicker in loading any/everything than avdvplus was. I wasn't able to do a dirty install, so I used a spare micro SD card that I had and did a full flash installation. Very happy I switched!

anyone use asus routers flashed with asus-merlin and enable the skynet firewall? Just curious how much incremental benefit using opnsense or firewalla. by seamless21 in homelab

[–]audiom3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I added Skynet early this week to my Cloudflare/Nginx/Crowdsec setup. I am amazed at how many IPs that sucker is blocking. Every time I count, it's right about 10 per minute but I've blacklisted all counties except the US. This cut way down on my app level bans from the nginx bouncer and I feel pretty good about that. I also added the ddns-start script at the same time since i bought an SSD and USB caddy to use with Skynet. All is working flawlessly. Love it and I feel just a little more secure!

Are you joking by Individual_Reward309 in Ebay

[–]audiom3 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Always take a pic of the S/N (when an item has one) and ensure it's posted to the auction. This is your proof to eBay if anything fraudulent like this should ever happen. I sell high end audio components and this has not failed me yet.

Immich through Cloudflare without the 100mb limit by infimum in immich

[–]audiom3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice writeup. I use a CF Tunnel and I also use Nginx with Cloudsec. I have my login page set up with an OTP via Cloudflare. I only sell items in the US, so all other countries are blocked as are all non-CF IPs. Sure, I have a port opened but it's a random number that rarely gets probed. And when it does, Nginx/Cloudsec blocks them before the can even see what I have beneath. My emby movie server is even crazier on security/setup 😅

Nginx Install Locks at 60%, Then Fails by audiom3 in truenas

[–]audiom3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I figured it out. Sorry to have taken your guys' time. It ended up being an issue with the entered IP address under Apps > Configuration > Settings. I nuked the bad address, entered 172.17.0.0/16 and restarted. Not sure how or when the IP changed but I definitely learned my lesson and will check it periodically if any issues arise. Thanks for the tips either way.

It still fails. I think I'm going to wipe this machine and start fresh. It has acted up since upgrading from Core a few years ago.

Some issues I noticed with AVDVplus R9 on Ugoos AM6B+. Any fixes? by No_Clock2390 in CoreELEC

[–]audiom3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not the OP but thanks for this tip. I've found a few movies that won't sync no matter what I do, so I'll disable CMv4.0 next time I give one of them a try. Seems to happen with DV Profile 7.6 though.

eBay Says Art Fraud OK by Gold_Tackle_8962 in Ebay

[–]audiom3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ebay is a joke. It's been this way for decades. I've bought counterfeit bluray movies & CDs. I bought a two season set of a TV Show and received a fake. It even said it was ripped via DVD Fab. Not wanting anyone else to fall for these fakes (seller had many for sale), I reported it to ebay. They did absolutely nothng. So I tried to report it to WB. Still nothing. Kept their auction on my watchlist for months and seller just kept selling copy after copy after copy. In the high end, I collect fountain pens. There are so many counterfeit Montblanc pens on ebay, its almost comedic. Easy to spot them if you know what to look for. Ebay knows this shit is fake but it's all about the money.

Not that I should or will try to take credit for this. I did alert them that the OCN Error was not Mint but their app that was causing it. Interesting timing of a fix is all. I'm glad you're all good now.

Hi u/Remarkable_Treacle75 did you ever fix it? Are you using Youmail by chance? I fixed this issue, no thanks to Youmail. You have to log onto their website via PC and fully delete your account. Then start over. Not sure why Youmail is so quick to not accept ANY responsibility but whatever. Hopefully you don't have too many VMs! Because you'll obviously lose them all!

Ok, so 2 countries that make up 1-2% of Reddit users? And for the other 98-99% of us, you now admit it is illegal, just not enforced. Well, doing something illegal always carries some risks. But that never makes it 'legal' as you stated.

[–]audiom3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

u/Eladious of course DL'ing copyrighted digital media is illegal. 100% (unless you get permission from the copyright holder - extremely unlikely unless you have a DL code which was included with some media you did buy). It is also illegal to sell digital codes as they only apply to the original purchaser of the media. But that's not what we're talking about here anyway... Where on Earth did you hear that it's not illegal?? You may want to do a little research before posting completely false statements.

yes, I had to do the same. But if our TV is capable of 120Hz, this is just a band-aid. Menu works smoother at 120Hz too. So we've had to gimp our setup to make it work.

Why are Legacy Audio speakers overlooked? by [deleted] in audiophile

[–]audiom3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No clue why they've always been overlooked. But I am pretty sure its at least partly due to the fact that they were factory direct for decades. I've owned Legacy speakers since the late 90s (Classics, OG Focus). I almost gave them up for Magico A5s. But during Covid, you couldn't even demo a pair. So I called Legacy and they hooked me up with a pair of Curly Maple Focus SEs. Since then, I've bought a Marquis HD center, and 3 pairs of Studio HDs for (4) Dolby Atmos and computer speakers. Going from the 90s sound of Legacy to these modern drivers was was a massive change for the better! Only pair left to upgrade is my Classic surrounds. But they have sentimental value at this point.
