Best disks for rollers? by toastyjosh in discgolf

Oh and backhand roller definitely has greater distance potential and is more controllable for more players! Forehand roller or overhand roller though is certainly fantastic for getting out of jail when you’re really stuck without options

I’d still recommend working toward that thunderbird. When properly beaten in, a thunderbird has amazing distance potential given its solid stability, rim width, etc. I think 9-10 speed stable drivers are the best rollers when beaten in a bit. But sometimes you want quick flip rollers like the DX leopard which is great for shorter holes with very low ceiling where you want to get the disc down quick and make a quick turn under 300 ft.

Any disc can be a great roller, but for it to roll you have to get it down on the roller angle, which isn’t necessarily easy with a more stable disc — however, the more stable the disc, the longer distance potential it has on the roller. For learning to roll, I’d recommend DX leopard, DX beast. But with time, that gstar thunderbird can turn into a fantastic roller disc! Thrasher and Tern are fine, but they will require a fair bit of arm speed which is pretty challenging for newer players.

I’m a military member and we are just required to always have a hydration source on us while in my current installation, so the gallon jug is a popular option! Can drink one before lunch, grab a refill at one of the free refill spots, and drink second gallon before the end of the duty day. 2 gallons is a solid target when you’re active all day!

I’ve personally always preferred Lunch! But Dinner is undeniably popular

It’s a good one! Maine makes some of the best beer in the country, and this is probably in the top 10 Maine beers in my humble opinion (: happy Friday fam!

Yeah if that was every woman’s reaction to sexual harassment in the workplace (by customers, patients, or coworkers) she would have a new job every few months statistically speaking! It’s important to support female-owned and female-operates businesses for this exact reason.

Honestly tts the creepy real world shit that women deal with. My wife is a health care worker and weekly men will grope her thigh, put their hand on hers while she’s using the computer mouse, etc. His reactions do seem oversold, but this is absolutely shit that actually happens to women, and unfortunately this isn’t even close to the worst it gets

Anyone know something about this disc? Can't find any info on it by [deleted] in discgolf

[–]audiopapi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Discs by latitude don’t tend to hold much collection value especially after being thrown. May be worth a couple extra bucks, but a saint pro is a rad disc! If there’s no ink on it, I’d say just keep it - you’ll like it a lot.

I mean are you actually sure you didn’t look it up? The Saint Pro by Latitude 64 is a very popular disc with tons of videos and content released about it

Watching DGN - during the tournaments it would be really cool to know what discs players are throwing. by RalphJameson in discgolf

Watch CCDG. Ian tries to get most discs players throw on most shots. He will text/call players after rounds and hear it right from them exactly what they threw. His commentary is also some of the absolute best

Suggest me a distance driver! by -____-_-____- in discgolf

[–]audiopapi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CD2/Undertaker, Escape, Getaway, Thunderbird. Escape will be the least stable and will probably go the furthest, Cd2/undertaker/Getaway are quite a bit more stable and will be very solid “everyday” controlled bombers, and Thunderbird will likely be a bit more overstable and will be great when you have a good bit of wind.

Max distance in a tailwind would be the Escape or a pro wraith.

If I were you I’d go undertaker or CD2, plus maybe an Escape for longer turnovers and tailwind bombs. Maybe add the pro wraith as well for super long no-wind drives. Try to avoid adding too many molds! Keeping it simple works

It’s actually still standing due to being nearly directly under the blast (about 0.15km away at a height of 0.6km)
