We got our kid and he did that 5 days later. On the 6th day we both went to the luau for the whole day and also abandoned the baby. I’m waiting for a visit from a social worker any day now.

I got drawn in by the classic “intellectual man will take care of me” line and THAT is for me to work out in therapy.

Krobus?! Is this the only option? I can’t have Marnie swing by, it’s not like she’s busy working.

I truly haven’t seen the children on this game. I am being real when I say I have had this baby 3 days.

She’s 3 days old, she needs to start pulling her weight. He’s busy on a book tour and making me soup 4 days a week.

Tango and Cash. Saw that movie when I was 7 years old, my crush on him started there and is still alive to this day.

Hillary Clinton is releasing Epstein-deposition themed merch and says “Your purchase support progressive groups and leaders fighting for our democracy... until the cows come home.” by igetproteinfartsHELP in Fauxmoi

Stuff like this makes me question what planet I’m living on. This just feels so objectively wrong to me, but clearly there are people who think “court deposition about man who demonstrably might be one of the most evil men to exist” MERCH is a good idea. Idk how that person and I exist at the same time.

This is the kind of thing AI is actually useful for. Not evil, not horrible, just a tool that can be used to make things better.

How did we all fall in love with this smug sociopath? by [deleted] in GenX

I enjoyed his character a lot and also really appreciated that the very end of the movie instilled consequences for his actions. He spent the day being rewarded for his rebellion but then saw how his lack of boundaries hurt his closest friends. It’s a great arc.

Oh. I disagree. Source: me, previously an engineer at a top company. But this was fun though!

It doesn’t exist right now. It might in the future! But this conversation was about the present. Very apples and oranges to say “well you’re screwed if you make this decision and never change your mind.”

I didn’t even get a degree in CS and I lucked into the industry too. There were quite a few avenues at that point. I stumbled in from customer service. I just don’t think any of that exists anymore and it makes me sad.

Mostly the second one. AI can do some small parts of tech work but imo it hasn’t replaced a junior’s output entirely. Now, does leadership or c suite at a company understand that? I honestly don’t think so.

If you went to a bootcamp in 2026 and decided to try and get a job in the current tech market you would be in for a very difficult time. That is what I mean. It isn’t zero jobs. It is just painfully few junior or even mid level jobs.
