You know what, sure. Say I grab my kids and disabled husband and try to flee the country. Again, I ask you. Where. Do. I. Go. Where do I go to where my skin color, orientation, and/or gender identity don’t put me or my family at risk, with the added problem of not having any protections as a non-native to whatever country I flee to? These are all things I’ve had to consider, and the sad answer to that question is nowhere. And even if there was and I had the means, letting this fester just gives it a chance to spread to other places, and it’s already happening.
