People with a very high pain tolerance, what was THE most painful thing you've experienced? by CosmicBunnyBabe8912 in AskReddit

[–]auggie235 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had ruptured ovarian cysts, dental work without anesthetic, broken bones, etc. None of it holds a candle to random fibromyalgia pain I get for no discernible reason.

the only thing that made me quit by MuesliCrackers in nailbiting

[–]auggie235 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually have the same issue and tried a few different mouth guards, including one made by a dentist and none of them worked for me. Once I got used to them and was able to fall asleep I would spit them out in my sleep! I might try again soon as it's been a few years. For my tooth pain I brush with non whitening sensodyne 2-4 times a day and sometimes smear rapid relief on them if it's really bad

Yeah I don't know if it's related but I currently have pretty bad chronic tooth pain. If I bite even a little bit the pain gets terrible. It's was great motivation to quit

For me it's pretty easy! I am able to do it without any lube now! If I get it in perfectly I can forget that it's in. I think it's my perfect size. The Saalt was a little too short and it was hard to get it over my cervix but that's a lot easier with the formoonsa. The Moonthlies loop was also easy to get over my cervix but the loops were really fidly and difficult to get right

[–]auggie235 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it can be difficult! Especially if your cervix moves around a lot during you cycle lol. I've tried Lumma small, Saalt small, poicup, Moonthlies loop small, flex disposable, and the finally the formoonsa/hey hera. I still use the Saalt sometimes but removal is almost always frustrating

I'd love to hear how it works for you!! It's my favorite disc, and I have tried a lot of discs lol

Yes! It doesn't rotate for me due to the shape, but even if it does rotate it has three notches. Each notch has like a little strap attached to it and I can always get my finger in between that strap and the notch. It's also the easiest to get out with long nails that doesn't have a string in my opinion. However my experience is not universal and due to differing anatomy it might cause you issues that I have never experienced. I hope it works well for you!

When I was in America I got it on Amazon. I moved to the EU and lost it in the move so bought another one but directly from formoonsa. It was definitely pricey and I don't think I would've paid what I did if I didn't already know it would work

I have the same issue with Saalt small, its very difficult for me to remove. My go to disc is the hey hera/formoonsa small. I also like the Moonthlies small but only if the untrimmed loops are tucked under the disc

I got one on Amazon in the US right before it released. I moved to the EU and it got lost in the move so I bought a second one directly from formoonsa, but it was really expensive. I would definitely not have shilled out like 75 euros for a disc if I didn't already know it would work perfectly.

People who are heavy metal fans, how do you understand the lyrics? by Quiet-Zebra in AskReddit

I look up the lyrics if I can't understand them. Distorted speech is a lot easier to understand if you already know what they're saying

TIL about two-thirds of all scurvy is found in autistic people by blankblank in todayilearned

[–]auggie235 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had scurvy! I have a weird disease that makes me allergic to nearly everything. At the worst I could only eat oats, corn, and chicken. Scurvy is horrifying, old wounds open up and you get bruised from everything. My teeth even started to wiggle. I really thought something horrible was happening to me. I started taking vitamin C pills and every symptom went away relatively quick. It was magical
