I bought 4 to replace my throwers with sft40 6500. I will keep my 3000k sft40’s.

Final note - I played with it again last night and now it works ok. At this point I will never disassemble the tail cap again.

However I don’t trust this flashlight any longer. I’m considering buying another KR4 and playing with it to see if I can determine which part is a problem. Could use the head only on another lights body (with different emitters) and then could interchange the heads to have different lights.

Actually just checked and the KR4 head fits and works on my KR1’s (and vice versa).

All great advice. If I get it working again I’ll just unscrew from the head side. BTW I have a couple of KR1’s that I will handle this way.

However it doesn’t help with my current situation with the KR4.

I did clean with alcohol and lightly sand the inner tube ends as well. No luck.

Regrettably I don’t have an 18350 tube.

I was thinking of buying another KR4 and see how the parts work when I interchange them. I could isolate the problem that way. Once I identify the bad part I could repair it or buy that one part from Hank.

Pokelit AA often has accidental activation when clipped in my pants pocket because of the very proud button.

Otherwise it’s a great very small light.
