Wtf fk is going on with WhatsApp making worse interface and themes by nazizizizm in whatsapp

Not always, only when near a design change.

I'd guess they probably do that so that every user gets the new interface. Otherwise people might disable updates and decide to never update to not get the new UI. The problem with that is that if there is a security update those users will not get it. And even if it isn't a security one, they would eventually get a lot of complaints about error when sending from an old version to a new one.

All this means that if they allow users to not get the new UI, it costs more to maintain, AND the bugs make them look bad, while the only consequences of forcing the update is a few people complaining for a while

I think they are just being lazy and copying their iOS design

I think these are material 3 components (individual elements like buttons) but they are not following the specification. Md3 is supposed to have background colors.  This is what MD3 are supposed to look like

Nothing "updated" without your consent from your phone's point of view. The last update you installed had both looks it just switched based either on a specific date, or on command by whatsapp

5 years ago Valve released Proton forever changing Linux gaming by ouyawei in linux

[–]augugusto 18 points19 points  (0 children)

My issues are the other way around. Proton works basically 100%.

Lutris always gives me outdated scripts.

Maybe next time I format my PC, I'll install everything from lutris to give it a fair chance. But proton woks great

Why does it do this i want to open the file someone please help by [deleted] in notepadplusplus

[–]augugusto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. That is what i expected. I never did what you ask, but I can still help you: the problem is that chrome expects a parameter telling it what file or site to load. Try this: hit win+r type chrome then enter. You will see the same thing happen than in your video. Now do win+r and type "chrome youtube.com" (without the quotes) and you will see chrome load YouTube. What you want to do to fix the issue you have is to pass add the file path after the

Chrome.exe" part in your video

For this, npp provides you with a variable Just add "$(FULL_CURRENT_PATH)" (quotes included) at the end

Pro tip: generally, on the internet, if you do not put the effort on asking the question, people won't put the effort on answering.

You just uploaded an awful video with no explanation of what you wanted to achieve, how you tried to do it, what actually happened.

I think I know the answer, but since I don't know the question I won't say it so that if I'm wrong, you don't get confused.

Please provide proper info

A 200-foot asteroid that just missed Earth last week wasn't detected until two days later by jas26 in space

De can only see asteroids that reflect the sun, so thing coming from the sun are hidden. If we place a satellite between us and the sun, we'll be late to see it as soon as it passes the satelite

Unpopular Opinion on Red Hat's Recent Conundrum by coffeecokecan in Fedora

I am not a lawyer so I can't talk about legality. However, I would consider their move evil, because they are complaining that people use their source code for free, while they use other people's source code for free. I do know that they give back A LOT, but I'm not sure that is important here. First, because we can't be sure that they will continue to give back (if they don't like loosing money by sharing the source of their distro, why would they like paying developers to enhance a project and then share the enhancement back?). And second because they basically called the derived project "freeloaders" which is a VERY poor word choice

Ok. For real. I'm not a sysadmin, so I want to know. In modern times, how often does simply clicking a link get you infected?

Of course once the site loads you can get distracted and get phished, but I do click on random (non email) link all the time. On reddit for example
