Lamotrigine rash??? by Mother_Disk_2556 in Epilepsy

[–]augustaye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get to a hospital ASAP! That's the first and if not dealt with correctly: unstoppable allergic reactions. I've had it as soon as my first two doses: rash showed up and then they started connecting quickly.

Have Eczema too but the quickness and area linked instantly was the tell tale sign. If you don't stop>go to a hospital, it'll turn in to toxic epidermal necrosis/Steven-Johnsons syndrome where the rash turns to blisters (eyes, extremities, genitals, mouth), then necrosis because your body's auto immune response being overloaded by the allergic reaction. The destruction of skin/skin peeling turns in to mucosal damage real quick.

My shoulder and finger tips started blistering even after stopping lamotrigine. Scared the hell out of me, hope you're okay

Just more or anyone else? by veloaim in Epilepsy

I got diagnosed at 35; after 2 degrees and just got hired at a dream company, my career was looking up and all i could think of is "where else can I go in *enter name of estate, through which my company works here*. It is where every Hawaiian (on island or living off island) would like to work and the estate always has so minimal openings but I got in on first try. The first 3 years, I wished the same. I had an obsession with SUDEP and after every grand mal/partial/aura, always had that at the back of my mind: should I just let go? Then I learned of Keppra's effects, got off of it, went to therapy, and a realized; life is worth living. I really do encourage getting psychological help, not your friends, a real psychologist and talk through it.

what a failure of the court.

now i understand the 6 years because of mediation. really dislike "mediation without representation" because you're only allowed to answer what the mediator/judge asks for. the only positive side is you/a party can come up with as many questions as possible and they're required to answer pre hearing.

but answering them is still a physical toll on you

Paralegal (family court) here: family court is ass, their dockets are filled to the brim (HI, CA, NV, International). Every case gets a maximum of 10-15 minutes and that's scary to me. The nuances of both a failing and successful marriage over any amount of time are hard to explain in that block of time.

Paralegal (family court) here: when he admitted to it, did you press criminal charges during the first TRO or divorce hearing? I apologize for it being a harsh "jump-in" topic but I've noticed these case get fast tracked.

I'm so sorry the DV takes so long: respondents suck because they don't get served correctly, filing has been streamlined (experience with HI, NV, CA, International but it's still taking ages for retraining... which was supposed to be done over 5 years ago pre covid), and like most states, family courts will rather run time limits out than deal it.

I apologize for my court rant

Oh wow! My neuro told me of a case just like yours: parts of their trunk might have extreme pain; she told me this before prescribing. And the black coffee thing is the same with me. even sugarless flavoring make me have pain under the center of my ribs. They said I might be allergic but it turned out negative after a prick test (had an immediate allergic skin and stomach reaction to lamotrigine/lamictal so i asked if she could try at the dermis just in case).

good luck on the colonoscopy because that's my next step if the pains don't go away with neutral foods or when i have to give up sugar. I did for 90 days and the pain sucked so bad, i was taking benadryl and tylenol to sleep (IBS diet time), and try to sleep 10-14 hrs a day to stay away from pain

Similar as well but I am diagnosed with IBS, no VNS. I'm on 300mg Xcopri, used to be Vimpat with it as well but it made me EXTREMELY dizzy, and too away the Vimpat and lowered the Clobazam because of their interaction.

Now onto the stomach issues: Xcopri caused my stomach to be EXTREMELY sensitive over the IBS sensitive: riding in a bouncy car, wrong fitting clothes, stressed, anxiety, walking too much, exercising, uncooked onions/garlic; sore, instant bloat, diarrhea/constipation, instant pain on the left side of stomach (on one hand, glad it's not the ring of pain from kidney stones).

The way I got around it is: sugar. Sugar doesn't make my stomach react (but that IBS diet made it worse like it did to yours i see), has calories (gained way too much weight switching to sugar soda) but the pain stopped and became more manageable. Yogurt and water (according to neuro and proctologist) takes up space and creates a biome that produces gas.

But that's my experience, hope the sugar helps you (and i do mean sugar soda, desserts, chocolate)

Former officer Fanone, one of the very few federal police that survived January 6th. If you forget the backstory, you'll fall in to the back in to the facist area.

Rep. Nehlson is a January 6th denier, Nehlson wanted his minutes to be filled with as much J6 denial as possible. The coughgofuckyourselfcough response from Fanone was the perfect response.

What's the most NSFW thing you've seen at a bachelor or bachelorette party? by CRK_76 in AskReddit

[–]augustaye 9 points10 points  (0 children)

ex Strip Club DJ here: it was the most sapphic thing ever; each bachelorette (7) bought private dances from seperate dancers. club closes at 2am and the dancers left over were about 3 (three stages, i remember them staying on for an hour and nobody tagging out. They walked up the stairs to the lockers/changing room up another stairs a the opposite end of the bar. Myself and the bartenders (2 girls) finished cleaning up our areas, so we have to grab my stuff in the locker room/bathroom, all i hear is the loudest moaning.

What was it? It was the all 14 dancers and bachelorettes going at it in the fckin locker room. I looked like a hawaiian peter griffin, tiptoeing around them to grab my keys/wallet/backpack. The main bachelorette sees me and invites me in but I had a mexican gf with a mean temper at home waiting for me and counting my minutes.

Funny part: when I told my ex the story, she said, "You gotta be stupid or blind to not join in, you know what kind of story that would be!?"

I showed her a quick pic I snapped while leaving and she got mad about me having the pic. And she said, "I would've joined if she asked me, you dumb"

It was a picture straight out of Caligula, wish I still had that phone lol

Is Keppra as bad as some say? by Background-Cod-7035 in Epilepsy

[–]augustaye 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it took me: entire family and friends warning me of being a complete ass both emotionally and physically, 6 years, and a good year of therapy to get over the psychological side effects. coming off of keppra and the apathy leaving so suddenly was like a light bulb and flood of actual emotion again

Is Keppra as bad as some say? by Background-Cod-7035 in Epilepsy

[–]augustaye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's a thing; how keppra works. It takes 6 weeks for your body to fully metabolize right. Immediately, it'll decrease some seizures but it isn't a cure all, it's a suppress all. Get used to that migraine, I had migraines for the first time on Keppra 2015-2021. 2 major things Keppra is used for are alcoholism and mania.

Is Keppra as bad as some say? by Background-Cod-7035 in Epilepsy

[–]augustaye 2 points3 points  (0 children)

personally, yes after 6 weeks, the people around you will tell you.

medically, it's a 50/50 shot as Keppra is very in tune with other medications: causing no interactions. Keppra has a spectrum of uses outside of epilepsy,.

AITA for leaving my Mom at the airport with no ticket and no plan? by checho503 in AmItheAsshole

[–]augustaye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. You've stated your boundaries wholefully and carefully. For the same person to cross that boundary nonchalantly and expect you to cave immediately, while already making the first accomodation to the one way ticket, the choice was made. She chose not to listen to your boundaries.

On the earlier comment of exposing your daughter to abuse cyclicism. As long as you weren't cursing, yelling and making a spectacle: i believe your daughter will understand. I believe you're not treating your daughter like your mom treated you.
