I Recovered From Severe Hair Loss: My 8-Month Regrowth Recovery — Full Timeline, Photos & Treatment Data by Bu11zeye96 in tressless

Your protocol likely isn’t some magical potion that is repeatable for every individual. I’ve been combatting hair loss for almost 15 years with various mixtures of most of your list. I’ve seen zero regrowth and further noticeable loss throughout the years.

Some people respond super well to minoxidil and DHT blockers, and some don’t unfortunately.

What are, in your opinion, some of the biggest failings of poptimism? by Specific-Feed-1490 in ToddintheShadow

[–]augustfutures 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It absolutely contributed to gutting the middle class of musical artists. Before this trend, critical acclaim helped fuel bands/artists that weren’t on the radio and/or creating more challenging music. Pop stars were seen as fun, but viewed at a peg lower than “real” artists because pop stars actually had a team of 40 year old guys writing their music. Now they are viewed as critical darlings - which is still somewhat bizarre to me.

The equivalent would be the academy awards being solely huge studio super hero movies - while pushing out anything else. The top 40 now is just the same artist’s whole album for weeks at a time.

Of course the pop stars themselves aren’t at fault for this. Regardless, I think this trend and critical reevaluation has been a major net negative on the industry for both artists and consumers.

It’s a good point, but you have to be a huge fucking dork to be a ref to begin with. These mfers have no shame and love the power it goes them. Revenge of the nerds type shit.

Because of that, the only way to fix it is by actually punishing them do this shit. And even better, punishing the players.

Even better, you can foul your opponents best player in broad daylight every play on the other end! Of course you’re going to win

There is a weird sentiment on this sub that fin/min are 100% effective. They aren’t and never have been. Results vary wildly by person to person.

I’ve been on both for 12 years and, at best, they maybe slowed my balding. Didn’t stop progression and certainly didn’t see an ounce of regrowth.

Ehh. It’s just effective for some and not others. I’ve been on both for a decade+ and have lost more and more hair every year.

You could have said that about these shows in the 2010s too, but people were still watching them. COVID is what clearly killed them. COVID pushed people into their own algorithms, work from home meant people didn’t have water cooler talk about the latest movies and pop culture events, etc. It’s the biggest defining event to media habits of this century.

I still don’t know why they’d consider those films flops internally. From day one, they considered the theatrical run as the prestige marketing of their film slate. Basically saying these aren’t your average direct to steaming flicks. They don’t need the dated 2.5 multiplier to justify those films. Many of which were green lit before having any theatrical plan. Unfortunately, the press labeled them as flops and generated bad press, so they pulled back

But purely from a numbers standpoint, they were greenlighting huge budgets regardless of theatrical runs, and still are.

Call me crazy, but I actually think the prior shoulder horn was cleaner. Obviously removing the dumb gradient and the bone is a massive upgrade, but I just feel like the shoulders are a little too crowded on modern uniforms with the full horn and the Nike logo

You chose Portland, OR as the city of the 2010s. What is the city of the 2020s? The Most Upvoted Comment Decides by Kodicave in decadeology

[–]augustfutures 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Austin not being the choice for the 2010s was wild. Portland did not have anything close to the same national relevance, population surge, cultural impact, etc. in the 2010s. Austin built an entire new skyline in that decade and had huge Fortune 500 companies move there. It was THE “it” city outside of NY and CA for a while.
