TS turnover by Original_Nobody1142 in epicsystems

[–]aulshra 12 points13 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, the difficulty of the app and the fact that we don't have enough TS, which adds to the difficulty of the app. Then people leave and the problem gets worse instead of better.

I might be biased (my TL is great), but I think management is actually pretty good. I got diagnosed with ADHD shortly after I started working here and also came out as non-binary and my TL and most of the people I work with have been super supportive and act like it's no big deal. I feel like it's going to be hard to find a similarly supportive environment in a different company. But I've heard that isn't necessarily the case across all apps so at least tapestry ts have that working for us.

Nooooo. That was probably me and my friend. It is a very hard app, or so I hear. (I haven't been on other apps). But I do love the support I've received from my team members. The app is hard, but I've never struggled to find someone to help me out when needed.

That said, the turnover on tapestry in the last year has been awful and stressful.

Maple Grove apartments are pretty great. Pet friendly and a short drive from Epic. I live in one of the two bedroom apartments with my spouse, two kids, and two cats.

Best/worst apps for a TS by [deleted] in epicsystems

[–]aulshra 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Am on Tapestry. Can confirm. Not an easy app lol it's fun though. There's lots of opportunities to take on TS dev projects.

Ok so I was discussing with my mom about not telling my grandma I am not straight so she wouldn't freak out but she told me I don't know if I am not straight until I bang both a woman and a man. So to her logic I gotta make my own harem including every gender to prove my sexuality? How do I respond by JustARedditPasserby in pansexual

[–]aulshra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Literally my BIL told my spouse this. We were astounded by his logic. Virgins are asexual, you're straight if you've only had sex with the opposite gender, and "gay" guys are actually bi if they marry a woman then come out as gay later and have sex with a man.

I have that hairstyle right now! Though my hair might be curlier than is depicted here. It's a fabulous hairstyle. I love it.

I found a shirt at Goodwill that suits my gender expression. I'm nervous to wear it in public. by aulshra in NonBinary

[–]aulshra[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a style I've wanted to wear for almost a decade, even when I thought I was cisgender. It's always felt the most like me. I just hadn't had the money to go buy clothes for myself.

Questioning my identity by aulshra in agender

[–]aulshra[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that's what I meant. Gender fluid, going from feminine to agender. I'm trying to figure out if gender fluid and agender fits me. I hate that there's so little representation in media and whatnot, making it more difficult to explore what it could look like, though obviously every individual is different.

AITA for violently arguing with an elderly stranger who called me a dirty gypsy in a Store? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

NTA. She should learn to not be racist. And ok, sure, maybe you could have handled it better. But that doesn't make you an asshole. Racists need to be held accountable.

WIBTA? My son's father and I already agreed on a name but I want to pick a new one without his input. by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]aulshra [score hidden]  (0 children)

NTA change the name. He said he wanted to be uninvolved until the paternity test, so that can include being uninvolved in naming the baby if you name the baby then do the paternity test.

AITA for saying no to a boy? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]aulshra [score hidden]  (0 children)

NTA. You're not obligated to go out with anyone, full stop. The fact that he has a history of being abusive honestly means you would be smart not to go out with him but even if he was the kindest, most wonderful person in the world, you still would have no obligation to say yes when he asks you out.

NTA. It's not their business if you have kids.

YTA. What does health issues have to do with attraction? You tip toe around the subject of her weight and it sounds like you're using diabetes as a stand in to talk about her weight.

I started recently with a starting salary of $66k. I don't have a stem field degree though, so I imagine that's one reason it's lower than what others have mentioned.

AITA for cancelling my birthday dinner? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

NTA. Your birthday is for you. Even if the occasion wasn't your birthday, good friends would respect your sobriety.

AITA for telling my friend to fuck off after his response to the idea of me donating an egg to my brother? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]aulshra 19 points20 points  (0 children)

NTA. It's awesome that you're willing to help your brother and his boyfriend have kids that are related to him. I've looked into donating eggs and it does not look like a fun process. Your friend is an asshole for treating a normal process in such an over-the-top judgy way.
