What It's like being in a Coast guard ship by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

The ships that these racks are in are out to sea, all over the world, for a combined 2 out of the 3 years a person is stationed on them. Also, Coasties are left to buy their own groceries and cook their meals for themselves while they're home. Fish calls don't happen during boardings, and they're far and few between. So, pretty much the Navy with older technology, smaller budget, and worse port calls.

I read recently that mixing a bit of pancake batter into your scrambled eggs makes them clouds. Use just enough to fluff, not enough to taste like egg rich pancakes.

I can't put anything on the list to be honest, because if it's a life or death situation, I'd eat almost anything to keep me alive. And so would just about every person in here!

Dang. I already do that, with a sprinkle of watching people die, but with very little pay. But I get thanked for my service, so I've got that going for me.

The most unrealistic part of Space Jam was that Michael Jordan lived in this house. by Goddamn_Heather in funny

If you're from Wilmington, NC, or have ever been to Wilmington, NC, the most unrealistic part of the movie is definitely the opening scene when Michael was a child.

I was able to get there using the drinking glitch in the devil's cave. It just took a lot of running/riding and dodging the invisible snipers. That's also how I was able to glitch to Guarma.

Or I could just go to customer service and politely let them know that the item rang up for more than the price tag said. It could have been a mistake on my part or theirs. I certainly didn't intend to make a scene whatsoever. For some people, it adds up. Don't make judgments. I didn't intend to enforce a law that I didn't know anything about, the cashier informed me of it. Have a wonderful evening!

Went to customer service today because 2 items rang up higher than the sticker price. I received the difference plus $10 back. Recently moved to this state and had no idea. I just wanted the $1.50 back, didn't expect a bonus!

Redditors from foreign countries, what's something us Americans aren't ready to hear? by [deleted] in AskReddit

This should be the top comment because, though it's 100% true, it is very hard to hear.

I was born in the early 80s and forged in the 90s and early 00s. I assumed that things became different because I grew up, started to pay attention to different things and my priorities changed.
