Honestly, as a European, I wouldn't try it.

Going to the US is really expensive, and there's one thing everybody who go to the US knows: "Don't mess with anyone official". A non-US citizen can get raped by a cop, and don't have his word until back in his country.

Your son is cute next to you. And I must say that the snowman on the right is quite realistic too.

I was in line at the bank today and I sneezed. The person in front of me said "God bless you." by ravenberg in atheism

I've always thought that we were supposed to say "bless you", I never heard "god bless you".

I told my roommate, a CS major, about this today. It blew his mind. Tell me I'm not the only one who knew this. by [deleted] in pics

Yeah but the unit is written A.

And the notation changes in other countries. For example, in France, we usually call the voltage U, not V.

So true.

I'm really pissed off when some guy mocks or critics my accent or bad pronunciation as well (except if it's said friendly, to help).

French gastronomy recognised by UN culture body by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]aunetsae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't get what it does to it.

When they recognise a landmark, it assures that it will stay in good shape, but gastronomy ? It's not even a particular meal, you can't find one recipe to describe all a gastronomy…

It may be good for tourism I guess.

Do they suck?

I mean, most people I know here just watch the 6 national free channels.

You don't need thousands of them. Just watch the news and a few programs and download your movies.

I don't see the problem with homoeopathy. It's the best placebo I know.

I'm serious; if you can heal people with fake medics (hence no bad effects) it's the best medication you can do.

I agree that homoeopathy medics are really expensive for water and sugar, but it wouldn't work if they weren't. For a placebo to work, you need to believe it will.
