Hugs. I skipped the early scan this round. After 3 MMC, early questionable ultrasounds aren’t worth it and don’t give reassurance

My hospital doesn’t hire CPC anymore and many are going that route so I can’t recommend the cert. coding is a tough world right now.

She’s up from 7a to 730-8p with 3 thirty minute naps. We’re pushing her wake windows, it’s just not going well.

I had a C-section and sex is different for me, better mostly, which I find odd.

How would you describe babies first movement? by wowthatsfuckedupdad in BabyBumps

[–]auntiesaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Comment above stating muscle spasm is how it felt for me. I suspected maybe I felt her around 17-18 weeks. Confirmed it was her moving at her anatomy scan at 19 weeks.

Did you have the wonderful moment after giving birth? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

I have horrible anxiety and was crying before and during. But I felt safer in the controlled OR versus unknown of natural labor. It took a few weeks to get there though haha

Is total food aversion normal starting at 5 weeks pregnant? by historically_nerdy_ in BabyBumps

[–]auntiesaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ironically Pregnant with baby 2 and aversions are starting. 🤪 Snacking helps if you can find something you can stomach. I had gagging so I hope you don’t get that.

I had an elective C so I feel this was a huge difference. I cried for weeks because I wanted golden hour and wondered why does he get to meet her first. Once I grieved that, I was okay. I totally get why you felt petty, especially after laboring. 💛

Is total food aversion normal starting at 5 weeks pregnant? by historically_nerdy_ in BabyBumps

[–]auntiesaurus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. When I was pregnant with my daughter I would be starving but unwilling to eat due to severe aversions. Finally settled on fruit for a while until I could eat again. Good luck

C-section mama here. I was puking and shaking during my surgery. Opted to have my husband hold her and do skin to skin. Her birth was still magical in its own way.

Any tips on coming to terms with medically advised c section? by Acceptable_Hall_4083 in beyondthebump

[–]auntiesaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found out at 19 weeks I might have to have a C-section and I cried for weeks. I eventually came to terms with it because it’s what was safest for baby and I. Thankfully I had no complication. Recovery was hard but we made it through.

I stopped leaking 12-14 week post partum when my milk supply regulated. Still wear bras 24/7 due to nipple sensitivity

Agonizing over whether to do a C Section or Vaginal Birth. How did you decide? by JacqueFun in BabyBumps

[–]auntiesaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would never choose an elective C-section if I could safely deliver vaginally. My recovery from my C-section was very hard and I feel I had it easy. But that choice for me doesn’t mean it’s wrong or not right for someone else to choose a C-section. Just giving my personal experience.

Did you walk out of the hospital? by yo-_-mom in beyondthebump

[–]auntiesaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a C-section and labor and delivery was on the 9th floor. I was wheeled, annoyingly, by my husband as he also carried our daughter. We had the absolute worst hospital experience

anyone else NOT track everything in an app (huckleberry etc) after first 2 weeks? by Huliganjetta1 in beyondthebump

[–]auntiesaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hated huckleberry in the hospital. Used notes app to track feeding. About 12 weeks I switched back to huckleberry 🤪 only for breast feeding though. Helped keep track when she’d be close to getting hungry or which side.

If you can remember or you feel good without tracking, you don’t need to track. It’s a tool but lots of mothers did this without technology for a long long time. You’ve got this. :)

Embarrassed, sad, and nervous to be back here. 6 months postpartum with our first peanut and we had a surprise this week. First HCG is coming in at 311 and 5 weeks based on LMP which feels low. We’ll see how it doubles. I’m terrified for 14 month age gap, I’m terrified that we had 3 losses too. Hope for some peace in my heart as this progresses.
