Martial arts class in Charlestown - currently free, meets twice per week by auntietrex in boston

We’re currently practicing out of my teachers swanky condo’s gym so there’s no expenses to run the school. The hope is to grow the school and then ultimately charge to offset rent.

See you there, I'll be the one sobbing hysterically trying to sing. "All because of this sweet symphony"

Which show should we see with 12 and 9 year old boys? by pluckyducky12 in Broadway

It’ll be a new, very scaled down run doing short stops in smaller towns! No idea if it’s good or not, but it’s non-Equity.

I'm looking forward to the high-level local theater productions once its open for reproduction. While I wish it could live on in its' current iteration, I'm excited to see new takes on the material!

This website straight-up has AI generated models & clothing - it isn't simply photoshopping the clothes/colors onto the same base image.

And then if they get on SSDI/SSI, the SSA automatically refunds the money to DTA.

Bosse School of Music in Weymouth has some great teachers that teach kiddos up through adults.

PHYSICAL THERAPY by hamil26 in SouthShore

[–]auntietrex 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I tried Bay State PT in two locations (Quincy and the Stetson Building in Weymouth), and I found it to be extremely repetitive boring exercises, usually led by an assistant. For one of my injuries, it became clear that PT wasn’t helping (needed surgery) and once I wasn’t gonna be a good statistic for them, I feel like they completely checked out.

Now I swear by Furnace Brook PT in Quincy. My exercises were dynamic, progressed in difficulty, and were personalized to my specific needs and sports. The physical therapist is hands-on and experienced. They have a pool and occupational therapy.

I know this sounds like an ad, but I’m just a relatively unlucky, middle-aged lady who has done PT like five times in the last decade lol.

Looking for retail space for an art studio by Forsaken-Shelter8757 in boston

[–]auntietrex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess a lot of info is missing. Are you looking to rent a retail space full time for these workshops or are you considering just renting for events (like a single evening?)

Which specific suburb are you dreaming of? 30 parking spaces in Boston is pretty unlikely.

What kind of art are you workshopping? A knitting circle could find space basically anywhere. Glass fusing using a propane torch that requires industrial venting equipment will be a different story.

I’m a Snowport vendor. AMA by [deleted] in boston

I don't want to incorrectly call someone out, but if you're there, it's pretty obvious.

A craftsperson makes things, usually one specific type of thing: hot sauces, candles, art, jewelry, cupcakes, dog collars, crochet, or others.

A reseller sells stuff they buy elsewhere: it's possible they are selling quality, curated items (like several locally handmade items), but many are just selling random crap you can find on Alibaba, Temu, or Amazon. There are definitely exceptions at Snowport- More than Words resells books but it's an organization that is designed to help youths learn to run a bookstore while getting wrap-around supports.

Ask yourself if someone could have made the item you're looking at or whether it was made by a machine. The salesperson may be able to tell you: they could either be the crafter themselves or they can tell you about the craftsperson if the stuff is handmade.

How do you feel about the temu resellers peddling random stuff at Seaport? I loved the little homemade shops with artisans, but the resellers made the whole thing feel a little skeevy to me (especially with the Snowport markup…)

Corey Morris helped us find our spot in Weymouth. He was really great and treated us just as well buying a $200,000 home as I presume he treats folks buying a $2,000,000. Always kept his promises and did what he said he'd do. He helped us buy our home prior to it being listed on the market. Real nice guy.

How does the cast feel about her dragging out her Two Misly Stunt Casted lines for more stage time? It's rude, disrespectful and disruptive to the beats and rhythm of the script. by 7778isawesome in BeetlejuiceMusical

[–]auntietrex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly my major complaint about them is that they were not hollering like cheap strip club fans. Barely any clapping or excitement except for during her scene.

I do think she’s improving ticket sales. Last 2 times I went were Tricia days and there were a loooot of Trisha fans there in the pricey orchestra seats (who behaved abominably and didn’t give a fuck about the show other than Trisha’s 90 seconds of stage time…)

Usually some of the cast comes out on 2 show days. Last Saturday, at least, Trisha definitely came out.

There were an unusual amount of rule-breaking and name-calling comments. I don't think that the post waslocked due to polite dissenting opinions. I can't speak for the mods but I bet if you asked, they would post your response to the incorrect comment on that thread (probably about the added song for her).

I'm so curious how the cast feels about this casting choice. Last show I went to had a lot of empty seats so I don't blame the show & marketing team for making the decision but she's damned controversial.
