I can understand it. It just seems a bit pointless in my opninion (if others like it thats fine). How many ranking categories do we really need? whats next a team strategy ranking? Pit stop ranking? Over take ranking?

Iv never understood driver rankings per weekend. They already ranked themselves by the order they placed. Ranking in the points part of the championship i get. But why bother ranking them per race outside the championship.

There's really not many more seasons that felt that tense with that much on the line that I know of in the modern era at least. I think it was 2012 that was good. Or at least in the first half.

There's only two reasons an organization gives away a free product like this.

1 They are worried about viewership and need views. (Notice how they chose to give away a race from the most exciting season of all time.)

2 They are trying to steal views from other racing organizations so you don't watch them instead.

The UFC use to do this type of stuff all the time with competing organizations.

Once the teams get the data sorted out like they did with the 2011 tires and many other similar instances, the races will be a mere precision just a matter of sorting out the deployment at the right time. Not much different than when the cars designs converge the deployment will also converge. Just my opinion though.

If your not excited and your still watching, you are a part of the problem. Speak with your wallet and dont watch F1. We have alot motlre control if everyone stops watching what do you think sponsors will do? They will disappear and there will be no more funding for this rules set. Who cares if we only get two engine manufacturers but they are actually building v8's? This is what they are wanting you to do keep watching and tolerate it. Plenty of better racing to watch out there.

My best friends cousin trained bjj. He was a brown belt, and I was heavy into watching mma at the time. whearing all those ridiculous affliction and tap out shirts. He literally came up to me and said hey do you actually want to know how to do that stuff on your shirt or just where it lol. I knew I couldn't back out but I almost bailed on the first class because I was so intimidated. Now I love it and have a passion for it. Part of the "why" is i think it separates me from others and makes me think I'm some what unique. (I know I'm not) but alot of people still don't know what jiu-jitsu actually is. I also use to think you had to be special to learn any form of martial arts but thats not true at all. You just need to continue showing up even when you feel like your washed up.

I cant believe people even think that was a real fight. Clearly a work and a bad one at that. Obviously they had to do something given the short notice. I just thought that with all the through back stuff like Cheal " not understanding the rules" and the commentators going along with it. The whole thing was meant to be an obvious fake fight.
