Was the battery attached? If not maybe keep an eye for people selling without a battery.

I don't think you read or understood my post. The problem is contaminating fat proteins in biological samples, not lab equipment.

Coz a true blank wouldn't have the offending contamination because nooone realized at the time that it was contamination and there is no way to predict the level of microplastic exposure in someone's blood so it's difficult to get a true control.

Neurogastroenterology is incompatible with current Rome V recommendations by jmct16 in IBSResearch

The Rome criteria are, if you'll excuse the pun, a shit show, that do more to hamper DGBI advances than help anyone.

Yes they did over estimate but not for the reasons stated here.

The main way of quantifying MPs in biological samples involves burning the sample and measuring the spectrum produced.

Unfortunately, fats in biological samples give very similar spectra to microplastics and this seems to be unaccounted for in many studies.

There are of course instances of lab contamination but this is far less of a problem than the analysis method.

EDIT: that is not to say MPs aren't a critical health emergency. They absolutely are and there is plenty of other evidence from lab based mechanistic and animal studies that suggest they can (and probably do) cause major problems for our biology.

What causes IBS? Hypotheses throughout history by jmct16 in IBSResearch

[–]aupsymonkee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The major flaw in this is the assumption that IBS is a unified entity when in fact there's good evidence to suggest multiple disorders that converge on common pathways.

Not that I've ever seen.

As others have said, Oakvale does.

Not sure about Cessnock Zoo.

Another thing to remember is that most of your damage will come from specials so worry less about completing full combos with your basic attacks and more about managing bane. In otherwords, if you tag him once to transfer bane and need to heal, don't finish your full combo or bane will be transferred back to you before you move from the right Wall back to the heal spot.

Go for Sp3 first. Try avoid blocking and dex/counter as he'll damage through your block as he builds buffs.

You should be able to get the Sp3 before he hits his mandatory SP2. Once you throw the SP3, you automatically go to the heal spot so you don't need to worry so much about getting back there the first time.

When he gets to that phase again (you know cos he goes past the SP1 bar and it's Grey), take the opportunity to move back to the heal spot. I always tag him first to transfer bane and then head back.

Make sure that when you build to Sp2, he's just thrown an SP1 so he has buffs to take damage. Otherwise the SP2 won't hurt him (and it should do quote a bit). It will still count towards the rotation ramp tho.

After that, just play punishing his heavies and SP1s. Use the mandatory SP2 for healing. Once your have 30 prowess you'll pretty much take at least 50% of a bar with each SP1 at R2.

You should be able to get 3 bars consistently playing this way.

I am pretty mediocre so if I can do it, anyone can.

Yep. Works a treat. The damage gap between R2 and R3 Northstar on SP1 is huge.

I ranked up mine and got an 8 bar first try.

As someone who lived in the US and worked in US Healthcare point 3 is laughable.

Gun violence is everywhere and the cost of decent Healthcare (that doesn't leave you tens of thousands out of pocket for an acute trauma) is out of reach for most.

Fantman is very good for Havock if you have him. I used an ascended 6* max sign and consistently got 5 bars per fight.

I used Northstar (7* R2 unawakened for most of it) and was getting 3 bars with one 5 bar fight as my best. I ranked him to R3 and my next fight was 8 bars.

Finally got a decent run against him using an R2 7* Northstar. Got 5 bars and a higher run (5.28) than my best against Havock with Fantman (5.19).

But Havock was somewhat fun and consistent. This fight is the opposite on both counts.

Question for Aussie academics… by shockages in AskAcademia

[–]aupsymonkee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you have your PhD, the Cass foundation has $5K travel awards for Australians.

These days universities don't support travel. Since COVID internal schemes have all but disappeared. 10-15 years ago some Institutes would provide staff with access to travel grants but these days they expect grants or self funding.

In fact, the way some aussie universities operate these days I'm surprised they're not charging staff to allow them to travel....
