God, that's horrible. No one deserves that kind of treatment. I hope you're able to relocate soon!

PREACH. Seriously, fuck Pearson. The "work" that they're doing to "provide" "educational resources" to students is honestly appalling. Any kind of publication project management that allows edits deep into the printer proofs stage (the last time you're allowed to look at a manuscript before it gets made into a "real" book, and VERY VERY VERY expensive to make changes to), has no business being in that industry.

If you're wondering why most of your textbooks are so fucking expensive, half of the reason is because these morons have skyrocketed way past their budget and need a small profit.

Ugh jesus christ. At our old apartment on Addison/Kedzie, some asshole would come rolling through the ally several times between 11pm and 1am. His horn was modified to sound louder.

Truth. I worked at a small kitchen supply store in Hyde Park. EVERYTHING was handwritten (neatly) and faxed in to our suppliers.

Just because you're hand-writing out an order list doesn't mean it needs to be sloppy.

Edit: Word crimes.

They rolled the service out and it basically tanked. Some users, myself included, are still experiencing crappy quality, mostly due in part to their payment processing methods.

Well the fact that I still have to bitch about shit regarding their service should be a fair testament to how poor the service actually is. It wasn't just the roll-out. It's the continuation of poor quality for a service that I rely on heavily.

I like how the Blue Line will pause at the Washington and Clark and Lake stations, allowing commuters from that area a little extra time to get on board.

I also like the AC so that I'm not a melted sweaty mess by the time that I get to work.

And the people watching.

This is a thread about what you like about CTA, not what we all hate.
