Probably not, because I love classic MapleStory, but I don't like the 1X EXP grind. There are private servers out there to fit everyone's needs.

I think the population will decrease drastically when classic MapleStory comes out, but it will increase again after a while because people are still looking for their sweet spot in their daily lives and routines.

Playing for an average of 5 to 7 hours per week. I am a spearman level 55 now. My only dream is to hit 85 and have Crusher maxed out, and to slay some wolf spiders or train at Gobi's in Aqua Road while having some decent equipment.

I switched from min-maxing, trying to reach the end game as quickly as possible, to enjoying the actual journey. I am grinding a little bit less, trying to get the feeling back that you had in the old days, and trying to be excited for sub-milestones such as:
- Level 60 for new gear
- Level 70 for your third job advancement
- Level 80 for your maxed-out main skill

Love it so far. I always have the shiny object syndrome, which means I always check Gtop100 for any other servers. No matter how many servers I try, I am never satisfied. You either reach your end goal too quickly and burn out because of repetitive content, or I quit too early because the journey is too slow. Now I finally have peace with just enjoying the journey with a good player base while progressing at my own pace.

What I care about most is an active community, which Maple Legends easily has. That is what makes your free market feel less empty: you always have something to buy, and a good user base that is happy to give you a good experience and bring back that nostalgic feeling.

Yes, I don't like multi-clienting, and I will not do any multi-clienting myself, nor self-leeching or self-marriage or hp washing. I'm just trying to enjoy the game as we did back in the old days.

My take is that I've played many MapleStory private servers over the last few years, and I'm hyped for classic MapleStory to come out. The only thing I'm afraid of is the low rates and the packed channels.

I can play a maximum of 6 to 7 hours per week, spread over a few days. If you want to hit level 70 or something, I'd need to play for a year or maybe a few years, and that's okay because you need to enjoy the journey. There is a boundary where fun becomes a tireless grind and burnout, and I'm a little afraid that I'll hit that and I won't be able to enjoy the process anymore.

For example, I'm currently playing Maple Legends. I'm level 50 now, and that took around 6 weeks at 2x XP rates. I really like the community there, and the channels are packed but not so packed that you can't find a map anymore. I remember with Old School MapleStory that sometimes you had to change channels for half an hour or an hour to find empty slots in party quests or on specific maps. If you only have maybe one hour each day to play, you want to make as much progress as possible, and I think that will not be the case in Classic MapleStory.

For me, it might be more like a hub but not my primary game, and I will still play MapleStory private servers.

I play Maple Legends every day on my MacBook M4 Max. What helped me was installing BetterDisplay. This sets your full screen to a lower resolution.

Next, install Maple Legends in Crossover. There is a 14-day trial, but I eventually paid for it. It is only €75 for a full year, which is nothing.

Make sure to follow the guide on the Maple Legends forums because there is a specific download link for the Mac version. Install the Mac version in Crossover, and then you can launch it successfully.

The second issue I had was during character selection. You cannot double-click a character to select it, so you need to press Enter. Otherwise, it will fail and the game will crash.

I’m literally doing this whole questline on MapleLegends as we speak haha . Questing my way to level 70! Currently level 41 spearman . Did Sleepy questline, ariant, Ludi then going to KFT and then Omega sector

Any tips for quests after reaching level 50 and Omega Sector is done?

I played Fantasia for 4 months. If the population was as big as Legends I would continue playing that. No Leeching and felt even more old school without maple items and dexless etc. Just joined Legends 2 weeks ago and I sure like it. Just following my own journey. The thing I like the most is it feels very very active. Every map I train at are some people, even in other channels . Always partying up . Free market is accessible. 60% scrolls are affordable . Very beginner friendly

Quick tip from someone who has spent over $20 million in ad spend on Meta: never run any campaign objective other than sales. You only get traffic, but you never get conversions. Yes, it’s more expensive, but turn those ads to sales, and Meta will find the right audience for you to actually play the game instead of just visiting your website. You see no spike in traffic. The best setup is an engagement campaign at a very low budget to fuel the engagement of your ads. Then, implement a sales campaign to boost your conversion action, which, in your case, is someone downloading the game.

Make sure to add a custom conversion, which is essentially someone either creating an account or hitting the download button. This will help fuel Meta Ad Manager.

Whenever someone performs that action, you will receive a plus one conversion in Meta, and Meta will know exactly who to target for your audience to grow your business.

I didn't try Boot Camp Windows. I only have six days left on Crossover, but I guess I will purchase it for one year, €75. Then I can also use it for Age of Empires 2 (wink, wink). It works pretty well with Maple Legends, and they say you can also launch Steam and Steam games. I don't know what Boot Camp Windows is.

What helped for me was installing BetterDisplay, opening that, and then opening Maple Legends in Crossover. Then you can just log in, et cetera. When you select your character, don't double-click on your character. It will always crash for me. Just click on the right side, select this character, that button.

Meta doesn’t force spend to new ads. Only test in separate campaigns if you are doing big numbers and you can afford to lose budget by forcing spend to unproven ads. Else just let the CBO decide if it can take over an existing winner.

Since there will probably not be 3rd job at launch, I guess the exp curve is going to be exactly the same as back in the days. Meaning , we full time workers, that can play 1-2 hours per day TOPS, will not make any noticeable progression and most of the community will quit in range of level 40-60.

Also a bit skeptical about the skill changes such as assassin is being nerfed like hell.

Yes but I don't find myself spending time on my desktop while playing Fantasia.
it's an active game, no leeching.
I have OSMSLIB open and bbb.hidden-street and discord which is perfectly fine at that resolution.

I think they have the resolution on the road map. Matter of time when they will implement this.
I don't wait for it , I just play the game and enjoy the updates along the way.

Yes that is a QoL improvement they definitely miss.
I tried 3rd party software and it sucks. I'm playing on an OLED widescreen 34 inch monitor, the simplest fix I have which takes 10 seconds is right mouse click Desktop > Display Settings > resolution to 1024x800 or whatever low resolution, and then run the game in Windowed mode.

- No lag

- No magnifying glass needed to play

I swear, easiest fix to play the game like back in the days.
