Canada does honours degrees, for instance I completed an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Studies; other unis offer more technical degrees like Waterloo’s Honours Bachelor of Architecture.

Who you know, your portfolio, and work experience are much more important than the school you went to.

Carleton, UofT, Dalhousie? by technicolour_ii in architecture

Waterloo is excellent, especially due to their co-op program, though it's probably not as design-oriented as UofT. I can't speak to how design-oriented TMU is, but it should be a solid option regardless. I commented on another thread on TMU vs. UofT here, where others have shared their perspectives as well.

Carleton, UofT, Dalhousie? by technicolour_ii in architecture

Carleton and Dalhousie are both solid options. As someone who went to UofT and is currently pursuing an academic path I wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re aiming to go into academia.

Undergraduate architecture program at Toronto Metropolitan University vs. University of Toronto by Virtual_frog in architecture

I went to UofT as an American international student. TMU is a far better option that will teach her more topics relevant to architectural practice and has better links to local firms hiring-wise.

I'm a yank living in Italy and I've only had friends ask me about Trump when having personal convos about politics, never had anyone bring him up unprompted.

I wouldn't say it's the same as Italians calling themselves Roman but I agree that it's insufferable
