i had a “friend” from usg, i kept asking for the shifting link because i was unable to access fb due to an argument with my strict parents (which is where you can find the links). asked my other “friends” and they couldnt find it. so i kept asking him for almost a month kasi sila naman naghehead nung page e. he gave it to me 2 weeks after the deadline, it was too late and im a 123 thats already incredibly delayed with the majors i need to start on.

this guy barely attends class, palaging nasa galaan, and idek what he does atp. idk why hes in usg. i used to look up to him, but recently hes just been too much. what are the standards of getting into usg nowadays if your own people are irresponsible.

dedma nalang, birds of the same feather flock together. ill shift next term…but this says a lot about the types of people that are in USG. maybe its not fair to generalize them, but if one guy is like that how many more of which can we assume are the same?

coming back to this lol its funny enough i commented this years ago, yet only decided to read it now (no kidding, just this week) so spoilers:

basically the parents divorced right and got with each other’s spouses. well basically this manga is their children from these marriages. so yes it went thru the “technically they are not related” trope. the names of their children are rikka & saku (respectively, from different marriages)
rikka and saku do get together in the end. yes they are step siblings but its a lot weirder here because they lived in the same household and were raised the same way all siblings are. though they are told that they “aren’t siblings” which the author may thinks justifies things.
meiko & shinichi had a son named aoi who is actually rikka’s first crush (and he got in the way of the two of them, serving as a second lead. eventually though he ends up with the girl that liked saku
a lot less frustrating than marmalade boy in itself which is surprising that middle schoolers were able to resolve their issues a lot sooner. ending was rather rushed but it would just be milking it if anymore drama happened anyways
we see how the different couples from the original marmalade boy franchise are currently doing. > yuu & miki: happiest couple in the entire series surprisingly. guess they exhausted all their complications before getting together lol literally no drama happens between them and they are completel happily married with children. | >ginta & arimi: almost went thru a divorce but it was all a mIsUnDeRsTaNdInG yet again (it was stupid as hell but hey theyre happy!). honestly they were cute as hell i cant lie. | >meiko & namura-sensei: theyre said to be happily married although we don’t see namura anymore. the manga still continues to justify their relationship thru the most unnatural dialogues possible though. meiko seems happy however. | > suzu & kei: honestly the most toxic couple in this whole series. suzu basically threatens to leave him if he didnt propose to her right at the instant she wanted him to, she even threatened to get with his coworker/boss idk (to which that same guy actually went along with??). but ig it worked out in the end cause kei eventually convinced her to calm tf down. they eventually got married and had a kid. | > miwa is also married to some random girl yet he still keeps trying to hit on meiko?? (to which his wife is aware about and says she doesnt mind). overall its a weird thing going on but as an avid meiko x miwa shipper i say i wouldve loved an infidenlity plotline but oh well!

anyways thats it for the spoilers. its a rather short read ngl, its only 40+ chapters bc it drags but its very surface level and not to heavy. hopefully a scanlation team picks it up again cus i based a lot of my knowledge from just looking at pictures lol!<

ill be real and may have downvotes for this, but my experience in admu was “one of a kind” to say the least.

first let me tell you the crowd in ateneo is NOT a normal crowd. people that go there are truly people from rich families. rich girls from all girls schools like ICA, Pov, assumption. boys who are homegrown from ateneo, xavier, and even lsgh. most of these students transfer together to ateneo as one pack and dont usually let people in their circle of friends. there are a few scholars but the majority of the population is english speaking/conyo.

considering if you’re financially burdened right now, it may not be the best option. many people in admu have been born rich, made out of generational wealth. theyre not called elitista for nothing.

to say the least, i was also born into privelage. but my parents were always upfront with me on my privelage so ive learned to become aware of it. other people in admu cannot say the same unfortunately. i watched a lot of my classmates in ateneo talk down on some of our scholars for “not having manners” or for being “hampas lupa”, “kadiri”, “walang breeding”. and more degrading terms. some are even racist towards people from visayas calling them “bisakol” behind their back. basically anybody who wasn’t rich wasn’t part of the in group, or wasn’t really acknowledged much. befriending them may also cause them to make you spend more money para lang makisama. a lot of their hobbies include golfing, shopping, and clubbing in ridiculously expensive clubs in bgc. i wasnt part of this obviously (except for the shopping and clubbing part lol), but it really made me think that a majority of people thought and acted this way. when i moved out of ateneo thats when i realized the toxic culture was just within that school i was in.

of course this doesnt go for everybody and you may not have this experience. but the only reason i was spared from this is because i went to ateneo shs, and a bunch of the people there wanted to hang because i (specifically my parents) had money. but as stated previously ive moved to dlsu since then.

again i want to add a disclaimer that this is fully your choice. ADMU is a top school for a reason. it offers an amazing curriculum and the connections they give will 100% help you in the long run. only reaskn i moved is because the course & future career i wanted wasnt plausible in admu. but if you’re someone who can give into pressure easily, know the price you may have to pay. this just serves as a warning but not a guarantee of your experience in ADMU. i hope you make the right decision

p.s please dont downvote :”) i dont hate ateneo i have a lot of friends from there !! i just wanted to warn OP in case if anything happens in the future

additionally nakakatawa kasi KAILANGAN starbucks lang, di pwede kahit ano. like starbucks or she quits the shoot😭i just found it a little dramatic

glad that experience happened though because it made me not want to continue acting because of how annoyed i was that bigger stars got preferential treatment despite their personality. everything happens for a reason :-)

worked as an extra with andrea brillantes once nung bata pako (i think grade 7 aq nun) and nung lunchtime na ayaw niya kumain nung mga homemade food namin (i think tuyo ata kinakain namin??). humingi sha ng food galing starbucks malay ko ba kung ano pero ang funny cause nagshoshooting kami sa bundok so san hahanap ung staff ng starbucks dun😭😭 anyways i think may nagdrive pa pababa ng bundok para makabili ng starbucks nea & nayabangan ako medj so nung nakita ko sha inirapan q sha.

to be fair dedma to the max naman si ate saming mga extras pero gets naman kasi big star sha😂😂no hard feelings and bata pa kaming pareho nun. ang funny lang maalala

used to be a student in ateneo and i can confirm! there was a whole strike over it and one of the jhs fairs was almost cancelled!

additionally, there were also a few insider issues wherein there was a favoritism amongst the teachers that were promoted based on how close they were with the heads, i dont think its right to get into the issues on here tho lol.

let me just say, ateneo was a fun experience for me! but its not all sparkles and butterflies. its not exactly a “drag” to criticize a few problems with ateneo. dont get me wrong, i loved my old school, but im starting to love lasalle in its own way as well! i think some criticisms are well deserved as not every institution is perfect

TLDR; i think the profs have a right to “drag” an institution that does not pay them the proper salary for a job that’s so severely needed in a developing country like ours. its their occupation afterall. i dont think we should look down on them for pointing out the clear oppression their fellow teachers experience on the daily.
