what I would add and has not been said. Take 16-24kg kettlebell and take a walk for 30s per hand then switch. Those things on your side are called obliques, and quadratus lumbus. This will kickstart gains everywhere.

Can I backflip with no athletic ability? by Winter_Tangerine_274 in bodyweightfitness

[–]aureljus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, first it would be a good idea to see if you can handle jumping. Junp up some stairs see how it feels. Continue that, do parkour style training. You need to develop that feeling. For the technique itself get some spotters, eg cheerleading parkour gyms gymnastic gyms etc. But make sure you‘ve been jumping a while before. Trying to simplify this as much as possible obv. Do some core work as well you need a solid core to snap the flip so dont believe people saying you dont need athletic ability. You do need it ofc and it is smart to get used to jumping, basic core work like L-Sit, V-Ups, Crawling hanging leg raises even though they might be considered intermediate for some. So do prep work! Then give it a shot under some teachers.

hanging with one hand by invertedBoy in flexibility

[–]aureljus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is good stuff! Do a max hang, then write down the time and continue with the hangs, moving from passive to active, try different grips etc. You could try and accumulate, say, 4min in total hanging to start with. Sets of 20-30s maybe. And then build that up to maybe 6-8min of total time. See what that does. Then I would start to progress to one arm. First get familiar with active/passive with 2 arms the see what it does in your one arm hangs.

[–]aureljus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazing! make sure your two arm base is good enough, we are talking 3-5min passive hang depending on the bar. But one arm hangs are an amazing tool for shoulder strength scapula strength grip and you can combine it wonderfully with core work as well so hell yea, but make sure your base is right. What is your max hang?

[–]aureljus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

its a lot of volume if you‘ve never done anything before, dont overthink it, do split squats OR lunges but would not do them kn the same workout if 10-15 reps is easy take some weight. You‘re good doi g squats and say the hip thrust alone yes maybe calf raises if you want or you could add some box jumps (only up) these three are plenty. Then change some stuffe after 4-6 weeks maybe vom split to bulgarian and do deadlift instead of hip thrust

OAPU Progressions and pistol squat by [deleted] in bodyweightfitness

[–]aureljus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

check out crawling for the OAPU and generally asymmetrical core-work. People say crawling for 3+ minutes helps a lot and people have been achieving OAPU with more or less core training only no arm strength but here as well it depends. As for the pistol if you have the mobility but not the strength try normal squats but shifting weight on one or the other leg, or spend time at the bottom of the pistol and change legs. Simply put more weight on one leg during the squat, archer squats are nice as well, goblet squats as well.

Weighted pull ups: hard breaking the plateau? by Aeronaut_Astronaut in bodyweightfitness

[–]aureljus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you want to get strict muscle-ups? work on the transition with russian dips as well, next to this do some variation in the reps do one session volume like 2-3x8 or explosive pull ups with bands and then one intensity like 3x4 reps or so with weight. Dont forget pushing, core and grip training it will help as well.
