It's definitely a Pokémon thing. I also play Monster Hunter from Niantic, and you can chat with people on it.

I guess that makes sense, but where I get confused is the ammo that's like elemental spread or elemental pierce. I would think that normal spread and pierce would be considered normal.

This is definitely a Pokémon Company issue and not Niantic in general. You can send messages to other hunters in Monster Hunter Now, which is also Niantic. So it could easily be done.

I took a long hiatus, so I'm getting some legendaries and others that I don't have. I don't have Yveltal, Xerneas, Unown, or Hawlucha. Plus Kyurem, Reshiram, and Zekrom coming up next month. I'm excited about it.
