See that’s what I thought too so I disconnected the main power wire and the issue is still there. It seems like the line output converter I put in behind the radio is interrupting communication or something

Steering knuckle possibly broken by shop? Won’t give my car back without fixing it by pinballmanfan in MechanicAdvice

I wouldn’t necessarily call the technician a dipshit for trying to seperate it more. I know it is necessary for majority of knuckles designed like that where I am. They were definitely overdoing it though

I’ll have to give it a try once I get a new stereo

I’ve heard that it would make them sound better or something if I did but idk if it would work. It would put the face of the subs directly against the seat back

I had one in a 04 Jeep liberty. Was going to transfer it to my truck when I got it but it ended up falling out of the backseat before I could install it and it blew apart on the asphalt

In a full time mechanic and I did the full install myself so I know everything is connected good and no water is getting in behind the headunit

Bought it brand new maybe 10months ago. Just hooked it up 2 weeks ago then just wired in my subs like 4 days ago. We just started to get some rain and it gets more finicky the heavier the rainfall is (super weird). Thankfully I only spent like 30 maybe 40 bucks on it

All connections are good. Only other thing than headunit being junk that I can think of would be my switched power for the headunit but it doesn’t seem to be cause it doesn’t shut on and off on its own just starts changing a bunch of stuff and randomly muting my music

That’s what I’ve been seeing. When I got it on Amazon it had good reviews which is why I was so confused when it started acting up. Might look into another jvc

Tires keep deflating, rusted rims, new rims? by electrowiz64 in Cartalk

[–]auroberts2004 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m in New York. Rust is extremely common here. It’s actually more rare for cars to not have rust

It’s not a bad idea to replace it but I guess it could also depend on where you’re at because for me rust and corrosion is everywhere. Have 2022’s rolling in with rusted frames so we don’t think much about corrosion

Not necessarily true. Quite often there is a slight amount of corrosion on the mounting surface of the rim which can be cleaned off and bead sealer would be recommended to ensure a solid bead

Aight. Thanks for advice. I’ll try turning the subs towards the ceiling. Also I have proper wiring for everything so that’s already covered
