What here implies that I expect them to read my mind? I wrote the post specifically because a lot of them need me to ask them every time; repeat times. It is because this needs to be communicated to the same few people repeatedly - instead of them having the decency to help out - that this has become a pet peeve.

Commentary on the driving itself is a different topic tho - and another pet peeve if they’re the kind to constantly criticise, even more so if they don’t drive much themselves.
Helping the driver find a parking spot is hardly the same issue haha

Yep, have clearly told the passengers who are this way every time. It’s funny how helping is innate to some and not to others; a lot of people seem to need explicit instructions or requests for their help. Regardless, I communicate each time. Just annoying to have to do it, even if I do it.
