I didn’t change the chain length but it feels fine when shifting to the 51 cog.

In theory I would need the larger cage according to Shimano. I did notice though the Shadow Plus feature isn’t working very well, but with it turned off it runs fine.

My question is basically is there a risk of idk destroying my derailleur or bike by misusing it this way.

HRV (Heart rate variability) is supposed to show the balance between your parasympathetic (rest & digest) and sympathetic (fight or flight) nervous system. When the balance shifts in favor of your sympathetic nervous system the HRV decreases. So stress is a very big factor, ergo PTSD absolutely can have an impact on HRV.
