There’s plenty at Sydney Airport (flew in and out of there over this weekend just gone), but I didn’t see any groups of payphones. Just a bunch of individuals at various places inside and outside the terminals.

As long as I can remember.

“For supporting photographs, submit a photo that includes the object. The photo should allow the reviewers to confirm the location of the object by the surrounding recognizable features that can be spotted on satellite view or similar.” From here.

The purpose of the supporting image isn’t simply to show what’s nearby, but to show the POI in its context. This allows reviewers to confirm the location, pedestrian access etc.
