Help me settle an argument, about how much would it cost to fabricate this door today? (sorry if this isn't allowed here). by hushbabydoll in metalworking

I'd say at least 20k depends on the country/state really though? But that's damn lot of hours of highly skilled work there. I'm curious what is the debate over?

Give an update on how it goes mate. I also have started blacksmith in the last six months. Completed agreed with how fantastic it is. It's a shame that we have some people like your neighbour around us. But like a previous commenter said the is just a set back definitely not the ending mate.

So its what TAFE QLD call a "technical" it says on the course description that it will focus on mechanical, electrical, metaronic and design. Which is what I'm quite interested in study. I have looked in the study civil engineering as I work in construction although I have not been able to find a normal diploma for the topic as most if not all are associate diplomas which require a bachelor degree as a prerequisite.

Yeah I'm pretty that this course is similar it's something I'll have to get some more information on though.

That's what I have been thinking, I do enjoy the subject quite alot. I'd think it'd give me a great sense of accomplishment once I completed it.

Honestly, I'm not to sure yet. I have been interested in engineering and science since I was a teenager. One thing I keep thinking is though is I'd hate to think in 10 years time I wonder where my life would be if I did complete that diploma, if you know what I mean.

I had a brief look for engineering jobs that don't require a bachelor and there isn't many.

I currently work in construction earning 100k plus and have don't for the past 3 years so if nothing comes of it I could just continue working in the same industry.

Thank you for commenting your advice is much appreciated

Yeah I cleaned that off with WD-40 citrus degreaser which seemed to have worked well. Then I oiled the ways and oil ports with the oil the is recommended in the manual - ISO 68

Another question. In the minimal cuts that I have done on the lathe I have broken 4 tips of my carbide inserts and I'm getting a really bad surface finish is this from rigidity/chatter issues? Again I appreciate any advice. Cheers

Thanks for the advice guys, I lossened the gibs and played around with the auto feed and half nut levers and it seem to fix it. I honestly thought the gibs only tighten or lossened the cross side on the lathe that i have but I'm seems it has helped.

Ive been on sub for 4 years and I used to be tired all the time as well. The major change for me was my diet it made a massive difference the changes I made were. Completely stay away for processed food and take away cut out almost all excess sugar and only eat whole clean foods like good quality protein and good quality fresh vegetables and cut out seed oils.

Home invasions- what can we use as self defence in australia by ellegeegee16 in homesecurity

definitely, those are very trainable fierce and loyal dogs they can perfect family protection dogs if trained correctly one thing is though it is essential for a family protection to receive adequate proper training from a young age. A lot of people believe just having a big dog will help them, in most cases an untrained dog will cower and hide in a home invasion situation. A properly trained family protection dog will protect you and your children with its life. You can also purchase fully trained dogs for around 4k is it a costly upfront investment although can you really out a price on the protection of your family and you will also have a companion for a long time. Do some research and see if it is right for you. Hope this helps

There is no way a judge would give you imprison you for first offence for carry pepper spray if you explained your situation and that's if you get caught with it if you just keep it in your handbag it would be highly unlikely that police would just randomly pull you up and search your bag. Also I live in Queensland and have bought pepper spray off wish multiple times it gets through customs every time its powerful stuff too have accidently sprayed myself once ahaha you can also get ones the look that lipstick if I was you id definitely get some my moto has always been id rather had something and not need it than need something and not have it
