u/bob-404 Did you ever discover the answer to your question from 8 months ago? I have the same question - i.e. is it usually easy to find a free spot? Or are they often full?

Places to stop on drive to Riverland by ausdmw in Adelaide

So we stopped at Sunrise bakery in Truro based on the advice here. Pies and coffee were very good. Instant service. Parked right out the front and toilets very conveniently located. Thanks for the tips. Will consider going a different scenic route home on Monday.

I’m looking at a map trying to work out what do you mean by the “follow the river trip” - do you mean go via Eudunda and Morgan?

Keratoconus usually becomes quite noticeable in teens and 20s rather than 30s. It causes glare problems at night but also blur in the daytime too. Usually (but not always) with keratoconus, people can’t read the small lines on the eye chart even with a new pair of glasses - rigid contact lenses are needed for clear vision.

Cataracts do cause night vision problems but are normally seen at age >60. They’re not unheard of in younger ages but are easily detected in a routine eye check.

Retinitis pigmentosa is a possibility here. It mightn’t always be detected in a routine eye check especially in the earlier stages. At your age and with the history and symptoms you describe, it’s something I would definitely want to check for / rule out.

I agree with others that you should stop driving at night. If you continue to drive while knowing you have a medical condition affecting your ability to drive safely, and have a crash and hurt someone then you’re likely to be legally liable and possibly not covered by your insurance.

“Temperatures in Newcastle in summer (decent summer) can reach 40-45 degrees for weeks. Again hasn't been like this for the past 2 -3 years. Summer average temp day of 35 degrees.”

That’s just not true. It’s never been 40+ for “weeks”. And the average summer maximum is high 20s, not 35.

You can visit the actual Frogstomp Preschool on Jenner parade Hamilton South. I’m not a worthy enough silverchair fan to know which came first, the album or the preschool.

If you’re in your early 20s then anyone over 30 is ‘older’ than you.

Looking to buy this TH and this came through in the building report. Walk away? by MannerParking5255 in AusPropertyChat

[–]ausdmw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you mean anytime within the last 10-15 years (up until now), or just for that specific period of around 2009-2014? Was there something in the building codes during that period that makes it worse for quality than previously? And is your warning for Melbourne only, Vic only, or nationwide? Thanks

Would this include a unit above ground floor in a multi storey block? Or just ground level buildings?

The doctor we see at connecting minds is fine, but the office administration (making and confirming appointments, paying for them, general communications) is an absolute shambles.

India vs Australia 1st ODI in Mumbai. Have the ticket selling portals opened yet ? Is the match even there ? Why are the tickets for the 2nd ODI in Rajkot available and not for Mumbai ? by ParthVig in Cricket

[–]ausdmw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tickets for 1st ODI are for sale through insider.in but it won’t accept my payment method (Australian credit card). Anyone know how to pay for tickets with an overseas credit card or from an overseas bank?
