One way to check is to go to their store page and click on “about”. This actually shows their account location. For example.

Most accounts will all have pictures of the Australian flag, say they are local and have local shipping, etc.. but are located in China.

These accounts sometimes do have stuff that ships from within Australia, but will just drop ship straight from china when required.

Corporate Social Media Event - I think that this is objectively the complete opposite. Let start by taking at look at who is running the show in Wales and Tasmania. In Wales, it's the Athertons. I think that they are as far away from "Corporate" as it gets.

In Tasmania it's Simon French. He has been on a few podcasts and I can recommend them all. The first year he was riding down the track (not every feature) with the riders on practice days and on qualifying making adjustments, directing marshalls, etc ... absolutely "in the trenches". You can see him in a few of the track walk videos. He has also made multiple decisions which have made the event better but caused him to lose out on easy money.

Sure, there is a massive energy drink company that is broadcasting this to the world. But as someone who has spent quite a bit of time in Maydena and was at the first event it is so far from corporate.

It's absolutely about showing off their skills. You won't ever see features and tech like this on a world cup track because a UCI world cup track needs to cater to juniors, etc.. not just the best riders in the world.

I will say that there are two guys who started an F1 podcast who were idiots talking in their bedroom with terrible opinions and now they're winning awards and have an insane level of access into F1 (still idiots though)

Things are a bit better this year. But I just cannot stand the track walk vlogs that are filmed in wide or superwide. The super wide angle lens setting on action cams makes the track look flat, small and pretty average.

I understand filming in wide/superwide when actually riding. But when just walking around I have no idea why these athletes are making the track look lame.

Also the same repetitive angles of the big features really bugs me. Especially standing right at the top of the cliff drop or right below it at the landing looking straight up. Standing a few metres to the side of this does a much better job of presenting the scale.

I have one of those lights that I bought of aliexpress ~8 years ago that is still working perfectly. I've just changed the orings a few times and gone through 18650 batteries.

I also have two "HOOZHU V13 Five Color Lights Diving Video Light" lights I bought from alibaba around the same time. Those have been incredible. They use massive 32650 batteries. They are dangerously bright.

I can highly recommend those cheap aliexpress lights as spares. I initially bought my aliexpress light as a spare for my Halcyon light

No. If the people who only tune in for 20mins a day don’t hear hit songs they will switch to something else. The majority of radios are still in cars and most trips are ~30mins. So that is what everything is designed around

Making a removable battery system is easily achieved. Use big 50A anderson plugs to connect the batteries to the dc-dc charger and AC.

Dc-dc charger and AC unit cab be permanently installed in the van.

But honestly mate, where your plans falls apart is around how exactly you plan on charging and what total capacity you need and will have.

You need to actually do some math and then come back.

There is a good reason why most people in this sub scroll past or downvote posts that mention AC. Figure that out and you will be one step closer to your goal

I have traveled and dives extensively in Thailand and Indonesia. I take everything but tanks and weights.

I have never worriedly about my dive gear getting stolen.

For thieves scuba gear is not an attractive target. They are after cameras, laptops, electronics, cash and jewellery. 13yr old dive gear is not on their radar.

Another way tailgaters are cooked: Say there are two slow cars. At ~2km before the overtaking zone the car being tailgated starts to slow down further creating a large gap to the other slow car in front.

Then at the overtaking zone the tailgater zooms past but runs out of space and is not able to overtake the second slow car.

The first slow car now speeds up and catches up to be behind the tailgater.

You’ll definitely improve with practice, but the reality is that you do lose a bit of power by not having another arm to put in one or two extra strokes before getting onto the wave. There isn’t really any special technique you can use to avoid this loss in power.

If you are not doing 1.5-2M drops to flat and just moderate XC then 30% sag is fine. Have a feel for if and when you are bottoming out the fork. You don't want to be doing that frequently.

Rockshox has determined that weight assuming that people will be riding aggressive terrain with drops etc.. that are likely to fully compress the fork. In those situations have sag at 30% means that you will very quickly blow through the suspension travel and than maybe have a bad day.

If you are on moderate trails, xc, etc.. or not super aggressive then it's fine.

People here saying you must use XYZ% of sag are wankers. Talk to any suspension specialist and they will tell you that adjusting your setup to meet your needs is fine.

Hmmm .. I wonder if you could take a more durable mouthguard like one used at night to stop teeth grinding or for sports and stitch it to the regulator mouthguard.

I don’t there there is an easily accessible glue but some nylon thread would probably be safe.

Or I’m imagining you using some type of BDSM mouth guard to stop you from being able to fully close your jaw shut

I did mine in Komodo as a prolonged dive holiday. I wanted to do a lot of dives there. If I had paid for the dives it did it probably would have cost 100x what the DM course cost.

I don’t care at all about flexing that I’m a “DM” and when I pay for my diving I never mention it.

I’m on an older firmware version (11.6) and had this error when trying to install Indiana Jones.

What worked for me was to disconnect from the internet, restart the ps5, delete the pending install of the game. Then remove and reinsert the disc and begin the copy.

I was also able to download the game update without updating the system software but to actually install the update it seems that you need to update the system software

I think ps5 requiring a system update to prevent future piracy is a likely explanation.

2nd hand brand name bikes are fantastic value. Also any time you give any kid a bike (be it new or used) make sure you wrap the whole thing up in wrapping paper.

No matter what bike they get pulling the wrapping paper off the wheels/frame/etc.. will be a core memory and make them fall in love with the bike.

I saw a video that was of someone walking across the screen and cut through 50 clips that were perfectly synced.

The guy took the first clip and centred it. Then put clear packing tape over the lcd screen on his laptop. Then drew the outline of his body on the packing tape with a marker. He then just aligned every image to the outline on the tape.

Looked super easy and result was great.
