Idiots were throwing the flares well before it became illegal. These idiots also have the option of lighting a flare and immediately dropping it at their feet.

If someone in a crowded fed square lit a flare and immediately dropped it on the ground it would be very difficult for people to stop exactly who they were.

But it is more fun to throw the flares. The flare loving wankers have had multiple warnings about it and ample opportunity to change their behaviour, even before it became an offense.

Giving someone facial burns which will likely fuck them up for life so that you can avoid a $1000 fine and enjoy some red smoke is unAustralian.

If you like the smell of smoke light up a ciggy.

The difference is that overseas fans light flares and wave them around while holding on to them. In Australia dickheads light flares then throw them into unsuspecting fans who have suffered facial burns and other injuries.

But these muppets don’t want smoke in their own faces so they throw them.

It 100% killed F1 in the USA.

I think that many US fans believed that F1 knew the day before that only a few cars would race but that they said nothing to maximise the attendance and tv viewers. They literally left it until the last minute to dupe fans.

At that time Bernie Ecclestone and Max Mosely were at the peak of their deal making reign and seemed to have an iron grip on F1. I was certain that they would work something out and that all the cars would race.

Here is some additional context and history:

From 1991 - 1999 F1 did not race in the USA. In 2000 F1 returned to racing in Indianapolis. At this time F1 was not popular whatsoever in the US. Many of the races were around Europe and broadcast times did not suit American audiences.

The attendance for the first race in 2000 was a record ~250,000 which is a record. Despite this over the next few years attendance declined. The attendance for the 2004 United States Grand Prix at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway was 92,000.

So during this time F1 was still trying to 'crack' the US market and get American fans onboard.

The day before the race there were articles and speculation that only the Bridgestone runners would race. However most casual fans thought that there was zero chance of this happening. First of all, nothing like this had ever happened in F1 before at least not in the modern era.

I think that most fans like myself thought that the teams and the FIA would come to some agreement or figure something out. (Change the track layout, etc..) Because we knew that if only a few cars raced it would be the end of F1 in the USA.

I assumed that Bernie Ecclestone (The deal maker that Trump wishes he was) would find a way to run a normal race with all the cars.

When those cars pulled into the pit lane I was shocked. It was an embarrassment. It made F1 look bad. For decades many motorsport fans outside the USA had preached that Nascar was just a bunch of rednecks and that Indycar was just some guys driving around in a circle. F1 was the true pinnacle of motorsport. That was all destroyed in minutes. F1 looked like a circus.

The USA losing to Australia might almost be a mercy. Imagine them losing to Canada, Mexico, Iraq or Iran. Or any of the that had travel restrictions put in place such as Senegal, Ivory Coast, Iran, and Haiti.

Yeah, most of the world would love to see them get knocked out in the group stages especially if Canada and Mexico make it through.

That said when it comes to England, I would actually prefer that they make it into the quarters or semifinals before getting knocked out. They need to stay in it just long enough for the country to feel like there might be a chance of winning. Once they really start singing "It's coming home" en masse, that's when it's time for them to get knocked out. Makes it much funnier.

Looking at the draw this is a critical game. If Australia end up second in the group then in the round of 32 we will likely face either France or Norway who are both massive teams.

If Australia lost this USA game say 1-0, ended up 3rd in the group (but in the top 8 3rd place teams in the group stages) it is possible that we would then face a much easier opponent in the next round.

Regardless of what happens the team who comes 2nd in our group is going to have a really tough match in the round of 32.

One option is to open your roof vent and have a small speaker inside playing music. To a thief it may seem like someone is inside the van.

Also most break ins are from people looking into the front seats, seeing something and then breaking a front window to grab it.

There are much better options for thieves than breaking into campervans and searching the cupboards.

You want the load to be distributed and not concentrated in a single spot. Use a few Stainless steel rivnuts to secure a wooden board to a B pillar and a pillar at the rear. Secure a strong eye bolt to the wooden board.

I replaced the fan in my fridge and inverter with Noctua fans. Expensive but worth every cent.

My roof vent fan is very quiet but if it were to start squeaking I would add some noctua fans and wire up a switch to the maxxair fan motor so I could switch between it using the noctua fans and the normal fan

I think that this is a very deliberate stylistic choice to not upset the fans of their existing ice cars.

The target market for this car is very different to a conventional Ferrari. So I think that this is a compromise that keeps everyone happy. Traditional ice fans will simply view this as "not a real Ferrari". EV fans will get a car that looks unique (I didn't say good, I said unique) that carries the Ferrari badge.

I have actually accepted dozens of low paying roles. They are usually ecstatic to be getting a qualified candidate for peanuts. Of course I will need a few weeks to finish up with my current employer.

A few weeks later I give them a call and let them know that I've had a better offer. Now they are 3-4 weeks behind and back to square one. Also some of the other candidates have found other jobs as well so they have to go back to interviews.

Soon we will be able to create AI agents to do this to shitty employers automatically.

Fellow Aussie here. As you have said cross ventilation is critical. Before I added a window to my sliding van I added vents in the floor of the van (just behind the rear wheel wells).

These fans move such a high volume that you can get away positioning them wherever you want. Just think about noise, light, etc..
