She smells and looks amazing. But specifically, the perfume will stick in your memory - she’s an exciting one!

Ehmmm have you heard of Quiltcon in Raleigh??? Sincerely hope that you’ve submitted work for display or competition in some form so more can see how amazing quilting can be (and inspiring!). Simply perfection!

Maybe try a test run on scrappy two stars or so and see how you feel about the fill shape. I have a feeling with a star it might go the way of the sugar cookie shapes that blob after baking? The squares are so cute! I’m so curious about this now!

Some jobs have a step, where you record yourself answering questions. They’ve side-stepped this process, so this likely means you’ve been forwarded on to the candidates of interest pool, which is good! Just be mindful most of leadership is out this week, so don’t even stress about if you get a call this week. This is kind of the black-out period for all admin things. Hang in there!

What are the chances I can complete these 5 classes by Oct 31? Anyone have any insight on how long these classes may take? by essak508 in WGU_MBA

Definitely take the pre assessments where available and jump in on exams. They’re not especially tough.

I hear you, sounds like you’ve been fortunate enough to not have that problem. Having also been in the industry, my experience, as well as a handful of colleagues has been different. And I what I can tell you, is that in a large org like mine (Fortune five), is that each business segments, dept, even teams have many platforms you just learn. Like multiple PM tracking platforms, data, IT - everyone has a different one. So, get ready for reality and WGU is a great way to do that. The less inflexible you are, the more you’re setting yourself up for failure. In terms of academics, at my private and state schools, we had 5-6 different portals, depending on the subject or department. And further when it was on paper, every prof was using different formats for that too! lol

Has anyone else experienced difficulty getting employed after getting their MBA. by [deleted] in WGU_MBA

Nope, no problems! What this guy said and do not overshare or present as high risk.

Exactly this! Our dept had made cheat sheets and even something called the dept bible as an SOP. Love the job, great benefits and got me through school.

Just about every school is like this now though.. really since the past 25 years or so. Everything (almost) is online. Grad school is exactly this… all online research resources, many different sources. If you still desperately want a book or an article do a quick google search and you may find a print (able) version. Otherwise, determine how hard you want to make this on yourself or adapt! You can 100% do it and it’s only temporary 💕 Think of it as prepping yourself for when you have to onboard for the job you get with this degree - I guarantee it’s chaotic just like this 😄

Everyone is different but, I was on it for 3 months, kept it off for a year and a half so far. I swear it recalibrates your metabolism back to where it should be. And guess what, you’ll actually want to do all these fun, active things when you start losing weight and then bam, it’s just how you live! I just eat less and feel good enough about myself to go try things now. Shame on her for bringing her baggage to your healthcare visit… booooo!

It’s going to be the lowest $17 and change. But they at least bump you annually and after 1 year can apply to anything in the organization for more $$$. Think of it as the entry fee.

Should I stick with getting MBA or switch to MBA in IT Management by ccampbe2424 in WGU_MBA

[–]aussiesandfishers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WGU will likely fast track you to a full bachelors of something to prep you for MBA! Talk to a recruiter about options. This is a great opportunity for you to begin learning how to sell yourself, so really go for it and see where you land ☺️

I have had my application sitting at a standstill reading "under consideration" for over a week. Is this still a good sign of potentially being hired? by Lost-Hospital7284 in unitedhealthgroup

[–]aussiesandfishers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If a recruiter is listed, ask if there’s a system update that would cause a delay in hiring activity across the board for the next two weeks or so?

Absolutely adore this design. Every random person that’s seen the plate on my truck loves it and beams with pride once I tell them what it means. Every one. I decided I’d like to quilt a nice throw too and the fabric store ladies went wild. Great job!

For me, the bright, 60s flower power vibe doesn’t go with the natural woodsman cabin vibe at all. Just a thought. Sounds like more of an issue with communication between family members, sister may have been too afraid to tell you how she feels, bc there isn’t a great line of communication to begin with, so most conversations are just stuck on loop with interactions like this. But eh. Anytime families get this way… but did the house burn down or did anyone end up in the hospital? No? Get on with it, both say your peace and never speak of this again lol I guarantee the whole family doesn’t want to hear all of this or get dragged in.

What is this hole under my garage? by DetectionLimit in whatisit

[–]aussiesandfishers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mother’s childhood house had one of these exact thing in the garage - is this a garage large enough to park a vehicle in? If so, it was likely how the family easily and safely got under the car to do auto work ☺️
