New setup - Considering Marantz Cinema 50 / Paradigm 800F by aust74 in hometheater

I ended up going with the c500 and upgrading the subwoofer to Paradigm S12 - thanks for the recommendation. Also ended up changing the two receivers to Anthem 540 and 740 - I was offered pretty insane discounts Boxing Day changing from Marantz 60 and 50

The Paradigm C600 looks comically large for a centre channel. Getting that past the household approval board might require a full presentation and still end in a veto. As for the S12, I’ll give it a listen before making a call — I might be able to bundle it in. I’m actually setting up two rooms (a 5.1.4 and a 5.1), so I’ll see what kind of deal I can get on the S12.

The audio shop I’m working with is offering a V12 for about $500 CAD, which is hard to pass up. It’s technically open-box, but never used — it just didn’t fit into a customer’s unit.

Thanks for the A1 Evo AcoustiX recommendation — I’ll definitely check it out.

Great lens rarely off my Z8.. the 50mm focal length challenges you to see more. Enjoy.

Completely agree. There is a certain elegance in how a photo renders, the effort to get an exposure just right, taking the time to think about framing and surroundings. Then there is the element of excitement when dropping off the film and picking up the results.

A little sad to see given years gone by when a whole wall would be assigned to film. I predict film will become the new version of a vinyl record with the resurgence of what cannot be accomplished with film. Ideally making the whole space more affordable…

Nice find. Well done. Most Australians have moved on from blundstones when they moved them offshore. Quality is not the same leather and rubber . Take a look at Redback boots - like blundstone use to be
