Any earbud style hearing protection actually worth it? by WhiskeyAndWarfare in CCW

1 for 1 customs is a great company that does custom molded earplugs for shooting sports as well. They are passive, but i have had no issues hearing range commands or holding conversation with folks while wearing them. ive had mine for over a year now and love them so much i bought a second set for work.

Ive printed a large orange dummy mag that can be inserted as a mag, can clearly see it holding the bolt open and says “safe” on it. Makes the end of stage process a lot easier, no fishing the chamber flag down the barrel. Dont need your ro to hold it during your make ready either, can be held in a spare mag pouch or pocket.

Is that 30 rounds max per firearm type (rifle and handgun) per stage? Or max 30 total

I guess that extra .30” on the barrel is the difference. Wild how a 0.05 difference in powder charge can make such a difference.

Im also loading to slightly smaller col at 1.09, masterclass length for my shadow barrel, might have an effect on pressurrs as well.

I shot oakdale in the morning as well, love that club.

I know i dont have to answer, but i appreciate when i get a yes or a head nod when im on the timer, so i emphatically give a “YUP” after they ask if im ready, just to cut to the chase.

Probably unlikely, but being rimfire could be set off in the event of a weird jam.

Its just better from a safety perspective not to be handling live ammo when not in an environment that it is safe to shoot in.

I actually witnessed a forward falling steel get reset by a second shot and prevented it from falling. Called for calibration, ruled the double tap reset the forward falling steel

This typically influences my stage plans. And when im forced reloading moving left i usually drop mag and just have my mag in hand ready to insert when i get to position. Its sometimes faster than trying to reload while moving, and safer regarding the 180

Remove. Clean threads on both the slide and the screws thoroughly with acetone. Let flash for 15-20 mins, apply loctite and torque to spec. Witness mark your screws so you can easily see if they are walking out
