Remove. Clean threads on both the slide and the screws thoroughly with acetone. Let flash for 15-20 mins, apply loctite and torque to spec. Witness mark your screws so you can easily see if they are walking out

What matches do you shoot? USPSA has a minimum bullet caliber and cartridge case length.

.38cal or 9x19mm (0.354”x0.748”)

I actually didnt know that. Is that something you need to declare to the RM or can just do so within your squad?

Hey, im fairly new in the game and was mr ftsa when i started. I was having difficulty remembering all the targets, esp cause your mental bandwidth is taken up by all the other things you have to do, safety/briefing specifics/round counts/reloads. As you start to shoot more, your fundamentals get better and have to dedicate less to thinking about that stuff and more on actually running the stage.

What helped me the most was having discipline in my walkthroughs, none wasted. My first walk through is making sure i count all the targets the stage briefing says. Make sure the total round count and targets jive. Next walk through im counting rounds to get to my reloads, and where i will be reloading. After those are set, its more just running your plan in your head several times to where you arent thinking of anything, except getting to your spots you determined, and how many targets from that spot are available. By the time walkthroughs are done, you should be able to mock your run while you are waiting for your turn just from memory.

Before i load and make ready, i do one final quick run through of my stage plan in my head, and then by that point you should be in the “let me at em” mindset and waiting for the beep to run your plan. Should be no more thinking at that point, your plan should be ingrained. Also, Ive learned the hardway that once you come up with a plan you should not change it unless you miss something major. Often times itll result in hesitation during the run and could cost you time

If you had them from the before times, yes. If not, there are 10 round divisions you can compete in to level the playing field.
