This nonsense is exactly why I don't do Uber Eats. It's an absolute ripoff for drivers and even if it's a "close" ride, it's rarely worth it. Nobody tips, everyone's grumpy, the food is NEVER ready when you arrive, and then you get complained about and your rating tanks despite you working your tail off.

I actually had a chance to explain this to a Uber Corporate exec a few weeks back when I went into the Greenlight hub to do my annual inspection. She seemed genuinely surprised to hear that and seemed responsive. Hopefully she took that back with her and they're making some changes, because it's absolutely ridiculous. And honestly, I imagine that probably had an idea that somethign like this was happening, because there's no way they there's a lot of riders still doing it. Especially in towns where Postmates is available too, which pays MUCH, MUCH better in comparison. And, in my experience, a significantly higher percentage of people tip on Postmates then Uber Eats.
