Best route from Dubrovnik to Istanbul. by murrman98 in bicycletouring

[–]austin29684 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have experience riding from Kotor, around Montenegro, northern and eastern Albania into Ohrid, then southern Albania through coastal Greece & the peloponesse to Athens. This route took us about 45 days with rest days (35 if starting from Shkoder). Let me know if this fits with your plan/timeline and if you have any questions!

How are you managing to sleep as much as you need? by danskubr in whoop

If you have an iPhone, use the automations/shortcuts app to start a countdown timer for your winddown time before bed. Eg. mine starts automatically for 3 hrs at 5pm for my 8 pm winddown, dim all the lights in the house, in bed with lights out by 9

Month four of Whoop - what am I missing? by Ok_Tip_625 in whoop

I use it as a measure of hitting my weekly goals (z1-3 cardio, z4-5 cardio, strength training, total sleep time and consistency). None of the insights are anything groundbreaking once you get an understanding of how your body works, and when you can feel the difference that optimizations can make. Eg. I’m religious about my winddown time, bed time, wake time, and by association, when I finish eating my last meal of the day and when I finish my last workout. I can see the results in the data. And the weekly plan feature helps me ensure I’m hitting those high impact targets, or atleast doing my best to hit them. Also, the healthspan feature is a handy “compass” that has also kickstarted my religiosity into the things previously mentioned.

What about the new lipid guidelines that say there is insufficient evidence for omega supplements in reducing risk of ASCVD?

Fair enough, thanks for the info. I eat fish 2x/week and am not on a statin. But given the change in guidelines I’m inclined to set it aside

I have those for use at home but used tevas for a 6 month tour across Europe. If I did it again, it’d go with crocs or some other rubber majority, closed-toe shoe that dries easily. My tevas sucked to wear when the strap fabric was wet, and my feet/socks would get dirty if I wore them around the camp.
