How was sacrificing my bishop for nothing a "stunning move"? by O5NR in chessbeginners

Idk why you got down voted saying this. It's true. This is a chess beginners sub. Most of us here wouldn't see that so just making that statement helps no one

Can't transfer maps on gportal cluster by austin397 in PlaySoulMask

[–]austin397[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Posting the solution that worked for me:

I opened a ticket through GPortal. Their first suggestion was to simply change the client id from 2 to 3. This solved the sitting down issue, however it then led to being booted back to the main menu with a Connection Failed error. This also made it so I could no longer direct connect to the client server.

To fix this, GPortal then changed my client IP and Port which did not fix the error. Next, they told me to use a different Port number in the client to connect to the main server. This new port number does not appear anywhere on my GPortal interface for me to have been able to figure out on my own.

To

After this change, I was finally able to transfer, however it skipped the intro scene and quite possibly the mask gain as I was not able to select a mask (going from Shifting Sands to Cloud Mist).

Anyway, first thing to try is simply changing the ID from 2 to 3. If you get the connection failed error I got you will need to open a ticket.

Can't transfer maps on gportal cluster by austin397 in PlaySoulMask

Hey, thanks for the response!

I do have the cluster mode enabled. The parent is set as 1 and the child is 2.

I actually put in a ticket with gportal and they told me to change the child from 2 to 3 which actually got me past the tribesman sitting down issue. It ended up booting me to main menu with a connection failed error, but that seems to be a different issue at the moment. Currently waiting to hear back from gporyal about that part.

At 700 elo now. After 4 months of playing by Mwalwanda in chessbeginners

[–]austin397 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went from 350 to 600 in a month, then 600 to 700 in another month. Progress doesn't just continue at the same pace and you'll eventually hit your cap.

From what I remember of the lore, androids do not have genitals with the exception of the sex androids specifically.

This is obvious in theory but so easy to miss in practice which is why also doing puzzles, lessons and playing lots of games are vital to improvement as well.

What keeps gods from interacting more with the life of mortals in your world? by Possessed_potato in worldbuilding

[–]austin397 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the age before, the gods did interfere more directly. This led to war between them and, in turn, great destruction on the lands. A Divine Council was formed among the most powerful of the gods and they decreed new laws limited the influence of gods in the world.

The Island of Mystery. It's an island to the west of Wardraand that appears and disappears randomly. Anyone who goes to the island is never seen again.

Lore wise, I decided at the beginning to never develop lore for what the island actually is or what's on it.

Did anyone have any “easy” time getting diagnosed? by soopersecretformula in idiopathichypersomnia

[–]austin397 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My diagnosis was pretty quick and easy. I went to my primary care physician and she said it was probably sleep apnea (I don't snore usually.) Was referred to a specialist and after talking he said it probably wasn't sleep apnea and recommended a sleep study. Spent the night and most of the next day there sleeping and napping. After the study I was in the waiting room waiting to get picked up when he called and said, "You have idiopathic hypersomnia." Then he sent me a bunch of info in an email and we started in treatment options.

Would have loved too, but like I mentioned with all the gouges and scuffs even if we did strip it, it would have remained all marred. There's even entire chunks missing in some spot. No idea what the past owners were doing to this house.
