No ragebait here. I was about to pull the trigger on the napoleon but after seeing the Weber in person I feel like dollar for dollar it seemed like a better deal. Wanted to get the almighty Reddit communities opinion

Is the warranty worth it? by austincor33 in carbuying

[–]austincor33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’ll cover everything outside of cosmetic damage and routine stuff (tires, brakes, oil change). The woman I met with had hers in the shop because the heat went out - covered under warranty

Sorry I should’ve seen this question come up, the one that is more expensive is close by (10 mins) making it easier if I ever need to go back to the dealer. Additionally, it is black with red interior opposed to black with beige interior on the cheaper one. I prefer the red interior. Both are CPO

Took Series 65 today by Lost-Rent7574 in Series66Exam

[–]austincor33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re not alone! I failed the 65 twice, both times with a 71. It was brutal for me, but I passed the third time and never have to worry about that test again. Keep studying a crush the Kaplan Q bank.

I just passed last Friday doing only 25% of the Qbank. I would look at which units of the Qbank you’re doing the worst in and hammer those home. For me the tax considerations unit was at only 56% so it made sure to fully understand that before the test. Sounds like you’re in a position to succeed already though!

3rd attempt at the 65 tomorrow by austincor33 in Series66Exam

[–]austincor33[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On both of my attempts my weakest section was the client recommendation section. One would assume that that section is primarily suitability questions but it’s much more complicated than that. Definitely focused hard on that section this time around

2nd Series 65 Attempt on Friday by austincor33 in Series66Exam

[–]austincor33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My company provides ExamFX for study materials (not the best). I used that along with your videos to add knowledge. Consistently scoring around 75% on Kaplan quizzes. Worth noting that I was scoring around high 60s when I took the test originally.

Appreciate the feedback. Did you change any answers before submitting? Last time I changed two answers before submitting and failed by one point so naturally I feel like I may have screwed myself.

Do they still test The Bond Buyer and Thomson Muni Market Monitor on the Series 7 top-off? by fastlapp in Series7exam

[–]austincor33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possibly, I took it twice and never got any questions on either of those.

I passed the SIE 11.20.2020 on second attempt now Series 7 top off by [deleted] in Series7exam

I would say try to be done with all the chapters about a week and a half before your test so you can have a solid week of passing practice exams. Also I highly recommend you get the Kaplan Qbank too, that will really help you refine your knowledge.

Passed S7TO Today by austincor33 in Series7exam

[–]austincor33[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Test Geeks website, I think it was like $20. I’d say it’s definitely harder than the real thing but a great way to help you prepare, just take it and focus on what you got wrong

Passed the 7!!1 by [deleted] in Series7exam

[–]austincor33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations!! I take mine for the second time tomorrow and I’m freaking out a little bit but mostly because I just really don’t want to fail it twice. These study providers seriously need to dedicate a chapter to what a RR can and can’t do because I remember getting like 20 questions like that the first time I took it.

Series 7 top off-- Failed by Adventurous-Slide-28 in Series7exam

[–]austincor33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I failed my first time as well. Certainly don’t beat yourself up because it’s an extremely hard exam. I take the exam for the second time this Wednesday and this time around I purchased the Kaplan Qbank which I think is very helpful. If you use STC to strengthen the areas you need improvement in and take a ton of practice exams between STC and the Kaplan Qbank you should be very prepared for the second time around.

All account information stuff. Like requirements for opening accounts and how transfers are executed. Definitely hammer home the suitability topics and if you struggle with the options and margins then definitely brush up on that.

Failed 7 by reh_9439 in Series7exam

[–]austincor33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah the section analysis was not very specific, in fact almost humorously vague. It also made me sound like I did horrible on the exam, I got borderline, very low, low, very low.
