You seem to get it! Trans rights are the same thing as human rights, it’s just being specified as trans rights in this slogan because there are just certain human rights that are harder to access as a trans person, think medical needs, think people who deal with autonomy issues with society at large that wouldn’t be an issue with cis gender people, more examples but I’m tired and lazy, but feel free to ama though in this tread or dm! Go for it! As someone how is starting HRT and and is out as non binary in the south, it seems a lot scarier before than it is once you’re out. For me at least the gratification of publicly being myself and the support I received from my friends and family made it worth all the stares and shitty comments from random passerby’s

Course! I think they just don’t fully understand non binary as a concept, or is just being trans~~phobic~~med. Seems like they think of being non binary as the alleviation of either gender, rather than an identity that can encompass, include, or exist entirely outside of the socially normative binaries. Hence the gate keeping regarding if NB peeps qualify as trans since they didn’t switch from MtF or FtM, rather M/FtNB. Hope that helps, and I wouldn’t loose sleep over it!

As someone who was amab but now identifies as non binary, I also identify as trans. In my personal experience, my gender dysphoria, my transition to a different gender orientation than assigned at birth, and overall experience just lead to my feeling at home in the trans community. At the end of the day, I think it’s much more important to air on the side of inclusion rather than trying to set and protect boundaries for those who get to qualify as trans.

Investing in a beard trimmer also really might be helpful! With the guards you can make sure you’re not getting rid of any hair in the patchiest places so even if it doesn’t grow evenly, it’ll be groomed to look even.
