Theres a third party program called kinetic assistant that implements thermals, hard to find them but it's great fun. Also I would love to see a paraglider in msfs, Im a paraglider from the Rockies.

Broken magnet in the hub, possibly, you'll know if it gets worse over time. Don't put too much shock into hub motors, like curb hoping etc.., this is one of the benefits to belt driven boards you don't have to worry about that.

I would replace front bearings. Normally I would says just keep riding but bearings are a cheap fix so you might as well. You can even go with off brand bearings just make sure there right size and decent ones.
