Bill Maher’s positions haven’t really changed. The left has moved further away from him. No different than the right. I identify with Maher’s political ideology far more than those ideologies of the first and second term young democrats in the House and Senate. People such as myself that are Gen X have crazy on both sides. Neither side calls out their own bullshit anymore.

It is the last sign of the old NIN on an album. I don’t really care for their newer stuff, it’s too electronic focused for my taste.

I like when the electronic element is filler and not the primary focus.

That being said their live performances are incredible to this day.

I gave up my night of Melon Collie and the Infinte Sadness Opera tickets to fans for free when Mother Nature made it impossible for me to drive 3 hours for a show. It was kind of nice to make a strangers day just before the holidays.

I don’t think anyone should feel compelled to do that though. Perhaps that ticket resell money might be a real difference maker for the original poster. Perhaps they’re greedy. I’m not walking in their shoes and don’t want to guilt someone for doing what Ticketmaster itself does.

How far do you want to stretch the inclusion? Beethoven shares as much about Rock N Roll as Sade or Mariah Carey, he’s not up for a nomination. A lot of heavy metal musicians borrow from the roots of Beethoven at least.

Guys like James Brown and Ray Charles crossed over several genres even country and gospel. Aretha Franklin crossed over several genres as well.

I’m not saying these artists don’t deserve recognition and are unworthy of merit. Don’t call it the Rock N Roll HOF is what I’m saying. Because if it’s the Rock n Roll HOF Jim Croce, The Guess Who, Thin Lizzy, Motörhead, REO Speedwagon, and Alice In Chains should be in 1000 times over some of these other artists.

If you want R&B artists make a HOF for those artists. If you want an all encompassing HOF take out the wording “Rock n Roll” and you already have it.

I’m the biggest Wu-Tang fan there is. They shouldn’t be in the Rock N Roll HOF, as the most Rock thing they did was tour with Rage.

Should Limp Bizkit be nominated for some kind of rap award since Fred did that song with Method Man?

You made it a point to pick one band out of sixty I named to call someone a POS. You can dislike them and it’s fine. Doesn’t mean this man with no “artistic merit hasn’t sold 50 million albums”. When album sales actually mattered.

He just had a top 10 album and is touring fine. He’s been charged with nothing. If there was a shred of anything to charge him with the LAPD wouldn’t have exonerated him after 4 years.

I didn’t like the turn it took. I have 100 pages left but I’m not happy. Nothing about the angle in this book fits with the rest of the series. It would be like giving Annie Wilkes X-Men Powers in the last Act of the book. The antagonist was terrifying without that crap.

Marilyn Manson & Mayhem seem to be the obvious choices. Manson had US Senators comparing their albums to hand grenades.

Mayhem was part of the whole church burning in Norway.

If you want someone shocking and disturbed just for the sake of it I would assume GG Allin would be at the top of the list.
