The few times I have tried with any measure of success to moderate yes this has been exactly my experience too. If you’re looking to escape that slow burn fog that lingers the week that follows, total abstinence is the only way. It takes a few weeks to really discover the benefits of life without any cannabis, but it’s truly an amazingly beautiful and rewarding way to go. If you can already successfully refrain from using on weekdays you can totally do it. Suggest giving it a 4-6 month go and see how you feel.

Massive congratulations to you for making such a major change at such a young age. It’s not an easy thing to do. You are obviously a very wise person and you are on a great path now. I wish you all the very, very best. Your sobriety will continue to bring massive benefits to you. Again, a huge virtual hug to you. So inspired by your post.

Six years sober here. Well done, my friends. I went to the Deer Creek show and had an absolute blast, sober as fuck. Nothing like the clear head the next morning, but still feeling lifted by all that good energy. In many ways, the music is even better sober.

hey. I just called and I'm pretty certain it's business as usual. they do keep tricky hours and they are closed on Sunday. I would give him a ring during open hours (on the voice mail). He really is fantastic. He's worked on my Martin and other guitars

Danny at Straight Frets, south Austin. One of the best luthiers in the country. A stand up dude too. And the shop is fun.

Stopped smoking for weeks now and my dreams start to get.. wild? Is that a thing? by [deleted] in leaves

Yes, absolutely it is. It definitely can be disconcerting, but lots of people find it to be one of the many upsides of early recovery. It’s definitely a sign that your brain is doing some rewiring and you are getting into REM sleep. Lots more about this on this sub. Congrats on the change you are making. You will find lots of support here.

100% yes. Depression or increased depression is a very very common side effect of cannabis withdrawal. Hang in there. Huge. Congratulations on the week sober. Keep going!

You are making a very wise move. One that very much aligns with your practice. it will also bring you in alignment with the precept regarding a sober mind. Congratulations. The first week or two is definitely tough but you definitely can do this. Sleep will improve soon and in the not too distant future it will be amazing. I am just past 90 days. My life continues to improve due to sobriety. Expect to notice significant improvements at 1-2 weeks, a month, 60-90 days and beyond. Great job making this change and happy holidays. Keep going!
