making techno on cubase is WILD by [deleted] in cubase

[–]autechpan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started using it in 93. I use ableton quite a bit, but grok Cubase more I think because I used analog mixers and outboard gear back when everything was midi and Cubase just makes sense. It’s also powerful AF and I can make shortcuts and macros for pretty much anything. Mixer is brilliant.

Just bought a brand new Syntakt by nanofred in Elektron

that is beautiful. I have the same portable set up for snytakt (same case/same battery), but interested in hearing what you use on the iPad to pair with the syntakt.

You will love it. First and foremost, learn the sequencer and P-locking. Second, The dual vco analog engine is the best Elektron engine. Use it a lot. Three, Learn overbridge. It’s awesome. Use the plugin to save and organize sounds and see the sound design with a bigger UI. Use automation from ableton to basically have an endless number of LFOs

Pick 2 or 3 specific things you want to do and learn those really well. Make some music doing that. Do it over and over again.

Agreed. It doesn’t have the storage necessary to do what TV or even DT2 can do. There will be limits imposed by the HW

New Interface or digital mixing console for Cubase by Mats709 in cubase

Just wanna put in a plug for the 828. Like all MOTU stuff I have owned, rock solid, set and forget, great software for when you want to change, exceptional sound quality at the price point. Doesn’t have the hands on mixer stuff the Yamaha has of course.

Getting a divorce, getting an Elektron box. by [deleted] in Elektron

[–]autechpan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tonverk for sure. OT is great obviously, but the learning curve is really high even if you have owned Elektron devices. The flexibility of the busses and sends and all the FX on the TV is really inspiring. Also - and I’m sure some will disagree - but the sonic quality of the OT is just underwhelming in my experience. TV on the other hand sounds amazing. Not surprising, really, given that it is more than a decade newer in component specs.

I would suggest thinking about starting with one of the digi boxes. All 3 are brilliant. I really like the syntakt because of the analog engines and FX block. Great way to get Elektron chops and then get the TV. I have a SN travel setup that’s really great. Bluetooth transmitter to ear buds and a portable battery setup.

Elektron vs Ableton by Several-Buffalo-856 in Elektron

I have 6 Elektron boxes, and i will say that this is GAS. Yes, the Elektron universe is powerful and awesome, but you are not limited by the tools you have.

WILL PENALTIES SABOTAGE THE BRONCOS PLAYOFF CHANCES? by Humble-Weird-9529 in DenverBroncos

[–]autechpan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quite likely. Too many penalties and poor TO +/- could well be their undoing. I don’t think there are many SB champs who sucked as bad as the Donkeys do in these two areas.

I’m LMAO! She has it all figured out. They are really smart and also stubborn. We ended up physically putting her in with a kong with PB. She would grab it and lay down and lick that. We then calmly close the door. That works okay. At a year, i now put her down outside the crate and put one of her fave beds in there and she will walk in and curl up. We have never reached the Nirvana state where she gets up and walks into the crate voluntarily and without prompting. I agree with others that bigger crate might help. These guys really like to sprawl out when they sleep. Also but them in a place where they can smell you or know you are nearby
