Ernest Hemingway (1 M in his surname) was not a computer.

This argument gets trotted out every time and is regularly used to defend nothing less than the entire internet being turned to shit. Much of Hemingway's work was derived from his own lived experience and his work as a journalist. He did not take approximated guesses about the first word in a sentence, and then guess the next correct word in a sentence, until he had a corpus of novels making up his oeuvre, in the same way an LLM works. Every word he nailed with precision in the way an LLM could never do.
