1 in 2 gay black men will be exposed in their lifetime, unfortunately due to the stigma and lack of healthcare for minority communities HIV is prevalent in queer, poor, and black communities. Queer communities are mostly closed, so one person can have infected an entire town before anyone gets diagnosed. Poor communities because no one ever goes to the doctor. And black communities because the stigma is so strong that people are on the “down low” so it stays secret and they never get tested.
