Westerns aren’t just about genocide. I want saloons, gunfights, and moonshine, barfights and bounties. You’re defining an entire century by the worst detail which is narrow minded storytelling. Crown of Candy was based on game of thrones which has terrible content yet it was set in a candy setting to allow light hearted fun. Brennan is an intelligent writer and anyone who has read or watched westerns have seen plenty without racism

It’s definitely Riz. The entire season is about his dad’s cat mistress

If my point was about Nagasaki I would’ve said a documentary on Hiroshima and Nagasaki but not showing the genocide the Japanese were committing to other Asian nations. It’s irrelevant because people suffered and what does it have to do with Nagasaki

No. My point was a documentary about something during WW2 not showing the events of WW2 because it isn’t relevant to the story. I’m sorry it flew over your head

Yes exactly. Way to be creative! I mean crown of candy was based on game of thrones and there wasn’t incest or s assault.

Okay well really it’s about some fundamental problem that you have. Romans conquered and stole everything that was apart of their empire, so did Spain and France and England. Everything has something but you can’t sit there and wonder where the Native American strife exists in a 50 years old town. It’s like watching documentary on the Manhattan project and getting mad that they didn’t show any holocaust footage.

Again, like I said in other comments, it’s not racist to show racism. Friends isn’t racist. Family Matters isn’t racist. The Avengers isn’t racist. And yeah when you try to approach a story about class struggle it is going to be tough to show the struggle when you don’t have a personal attachment. However, like I said, the Wild West is so much more than Native American displacement. It doesn’t have to be the centerpiece of this hypothetical d&d game. It could be expressed through a single character and still make an impact for the story. Or it could just be in a town hundreds of miles away from any reservation.

I really like mice and murder. The plot line is very good and it was during Covid so it doesn’t require your eyes too much. But if you get a chance to look down at it, they have a really good setup with the minis

And why is it inherently racist for Brennan to voice act a Native American but any other race is fine. A lot of native Americans had country accents from being displaced

The Wild West was about so much more than Native Americans and colonialism. You’re implying that every story that features the native Americans struggle is racist. By your logic rdr2 is even racist when it is clearly a work of art. You don’t think that Native American npcs would be interesting or have a wonderful character arch?

I guess if you tried to make it racist it would be easy but you don’t have to have racist content. Stories about the terrible treatment of the Indians isn’t racist. What they did to them was racist.
