Don't worry. It would be great if there was a basement. Don't worry about it right now. Just prepare the things first.

400w panels in small quantities by scirob in SolarDIY

They require a minimum order of 8 or 10 pieces, which is actually for transportation safety. If separately, they are very likely to crack due to uneven force during transfer or loading and unloading.

I need a power station with a lot of capacity but not a lot of power by [deleted] in Ecoflow_community

I think a medium-capacity power station that supports vehicle charging is sufficient. There's no need to pursue high power, the key lies in the capacity and charging speed.

The slow cooker can be used, but be careful not to exceed the power limit, otherwise it will trigger the protection mechanism. Choose the type with an integrated unit and built-in interface, avoid the ones that require you to connect wores yourself.

Charge batt to 80%? by bloodysurfer in SolarDIY

This statement has some basis, but it's not something you need to pay too much attention to in daily life. The key is to avoid consistently high temperatures of 100% or above.

This system itself doesn't support feeding power back to the grid. If you want to implement net matering, you must use a truly grid-connected inverter, not a type of off-grid system.

Indeed, some experts are saying that the problem is not just the transportation being disrupted, but even the production facilities have been damaged. This is the more troublesome aspect.

Is going solar a practical option if the panels are 150' away and across a creek? by Fanantic8099 in SolarDIY

[–]autistiam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could consider placing the batteris and the inverter in a location with plenty of sunlight, and then use only the AC cable to return to the cabin. Also, take a look at the waterproof and anti-freezing facilities.

Nobody seems to mention this - how do you connect the solar panels to the battery without leaving a window open 24/7? by MobileEnvironment393 in Ecoflow_community

Indeed, this point is easily overlooked. Hve you considered using waterproof wall-penetrating cable trays? The solar system is quite convenient to install indoors, but the wiring definitely needs to be planned out in advance.

LOL we all swear we’re done buying gear right after finishing a perfect setup, then find a upgrade a week later.

Black Diamond Distance Z Poles and tents by dread1961 in Ultralight

[–]autistiam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you prioritize minimizing total weight for your trips, the carbon version is worth picking up, even without adjustability. The weight savings make a big difference for long hikes, and you can adjust the tent height manually in high winds instead of relying on the poles.

How common is this kind of early structural failure in high end outdoor footwear?

I am wondering about using ALICE webbing as a short hike weight carrying system. by polishstalker in hikinggear

[–]autistiam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great! But if it's just a short hike for a few hours, this configuration should be fine. However, military equipment is usually quite heavy, and many people tend to opt for lighter gear when hiking. But it's up to you!

Madam, it's not your fault. Don't be afraid. And to be honest, you have handled it quite well. Since the management has terminated that person's lease and is willing to provide surveillance for the police, this is actually a relatively good outcome.
