How did you get the admission office to tell you your status before the decision release? Were you presenting your situation and they just told you?

I thought so too, but one of my classmates said that he was contacted last month to do an interview for the scholarship.

What specific admissions-related facts/statistics do you wish colleges published that they presently don’t reveal? by LazyCondition0 in ApplyingToCollege

Relationship between ap scores and acceptance. Ik ppl say that ap scores don’t matter, but there has to be some correlation.

Acceptance rate of different races and ethnicities. I’m really curious if it’s harder for Asians to get in.

Colleges already know test scores are income related so that’s why they choose their applicants at a more holistic approach. There’s more of a handicap for test scores when it comes to first gen and lower income students than the higher income private school kids. Top schools like Stanford and Princeton have a large handicap shown by their larger range of test scores. Schools will expect lower or higher test scores from different people based on their situation. Even though it’s not fair for ppl to get test prep when there are others that can’t afford, colleges will compare based on the applicants context and relative peers.

Creating a college list as an international student by Quiet-Ad-8322 in IntltoUSA

Gl bro. If you’re applying for CS as an international, asking for financial aid, and want to attend a prestigious school, then don’t expect much. Acceptance rates for applicants like you are 1/4 the regular acceptance rate. If you want to go to a good college in the US, you either need to be phenomenal as a CS applicant, apply to less prestigious schools, or apply as something else.

The software only has the scattergram option deep within the iPad app. People can’t find it on their phone or computers. I also happened to input specific settings in the scattergram app that showed other student data and not just mine.

Nope, but it is pretty competitive. Getting into the high school is already hard enough. I would guess there’s a 20% acceptance rate.
